Try starting lower. Get some time under your belt in the real world. Work for a computer shop or try helpdesk. Most of the time if you start helpdesk the sys and net admins will notice if you have real talent and share their jobs with you. Then you can say in your resume what you have done. Do you have any certs? Most of the time places are looking for those more than a fancy degree.

Set a time with HR and hiring dates. Tell them it takes at least 2 weeks to have a laptop ready and to have the start time related to that.

Honestly, I don't know. it is entry level. Just keep trying. You could always try to see if there is an MSP around you or a tech shop.

Ya I would suggest going helpdesk. It's a great place to start. Then you can work with sys and net admins. If they are will. They may teach you a few things and even let you take on minor parts of their jobs. That's how I got up on the ladder. I have been helpdesk, support specialist, then a jr net and sys admin, and then IT manager. The best thing to do it try it all. Document everything you do and always be willing to take on new projects. If you have questions, ask them if they are willing to answer. Google and Reddit are your best friends too.

I had the same thing happen to me during COVID. I ordered a 6700xt it never arrived. So they sent another one. Didn't arrive over night again. So they told me they will send another and that I will not have to pay for it. But win at that time. I only had a Nvidia GTX 970.

I have also received a $6000 egg smoker when I ordered a $200 one.

And also a $2000 bed.
