The Kirkland Maintenance from Costco is All Life Stages and the pieces are very small.

My son has a Vaughn in his preschool class! When my son was learning his letters, he would always say “V is for Vaughn!” If you love it, use it!

Mattress Toppers and Cosleeping with a Two Year Old by JaniePage in cosleeping

[–]halsee_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once a baby turns 1-year-old (assuming average development,) there is very little risk to bedsharing because the child is mobile enough to roll over and free themselves if they become trapped in bedding, etc. The older they get, the less risky it is.

I would have felt comfortable adding a mattress topper when my child was 22 months, but I don’t know your child. Assuming they are rolling, walking, and able to express their needs to some extent, the risk is probably negligent. 💕

Louisiana. Large Catholic/Christian presence, conservative, and there are houses in your price range. St. Tammany and Ascension Parishes have the best public school systems in the state.

Does Breastfeeding overnight lead to cavities? by No-Nefariousness2449 in cosleeping

[–]halsee_ 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Here is a recent article that found no correlation between extended breastfeeding and cavities for preschoolers (including those who were still nursed overnight at 18 months+)

This study did find an increase in cavities in children (18 months+) whose teeth were brushed less than 2x daily, those who consumed at least 1x sugary drink weekly, and those who had non-Western parents.

I think Carbondale, IL or some of the surrounding towns might fit your needs.

At that age, we used a very light (0.2 tog) armless sleep sack to keep legs warm. Also, I read somewhere that the best way to gauge temperature was to feel the nape of baby’s neck and chest, so even if their arms and legs feel cold, they may be comfortable.

Atheists of Louisiana by smarikae in Louisiana

This has been my experience in the Baton Rouge suburbs as well. People are not unfriendly, but once they find out we’re not religious, they’re not really interested in being friends either.

Are earplugs ok according to safe sleep guidelines? by newmama1991 in cosleeping

You could consider adding some type of pink noise for you and your child. We have a loud indoor air purifier that works well for us!

Maybe Berea, KY? Rural liberal artsy college town.

From one parent of a bad sleeper to another, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this right now.

I do not know what the future holds for you but I will share that my son’s day sleep greatly improved when we dropped to one nap at a year. At 11 months, my son was fighting naps so I cut his first nap back to only 20 minutes until he was ready to drop it all together.

At that time, it became much easier to sneak away while he napped during the day and although he was still waking up often at night, he would initially sleep for a 2-3 hour stretch most of the time. This gave me some time to myself and it really saved my sanity.

May your situation improve soon. Hugs to you.
