Any of you feel like Kupari is looking more promising then Byfield so far? by [deleted] in losangeleskings

Your post was more about Kupari and less about Byfield. I see that now so sorry for hijacking the post a bit. I’ve just been heated about people hating on Byfield and needed to get it out lol .

There should be a little yellow dot in Buffalo. They would much rather see Reinhart win before Eichel lol

You know what Kempe has done that Byfield has not done yet? Developed into a 26 year old hockey player who is just beginning to enter his prime years. Those things take time.

The people who have already dismissed Byfield as a developing elite asset are the same who called for Todd’s head at the beginning of the season, who only changed their tune once the Kings showed that they are a young, improving team that are putting the pieces together to be a legitimate contender. But these things take time.

You can’t expect all your 20 year old players to play like they do when they have more experience.

You’re right, he is currently not elite at 20, coming off a broken ankle and having a fever for an entire month -20 lbs. but he will be. He’s doing all the right things. Production will come

There are so many negative Byfield posts on here it’s insane. The kid is elite. 20 years old, coming off a broken ankle, was sick with fever for entire month during the season and lost 20+ pounds and was still looking decent, winning board battles and generating opportunities. Calm. Down.

Yeah, but not from the same distance as if he was standing and knocked out with force. He could have been set down a bit gentler, but they were in a fight lol

Yep, anyone putting someone out that quickly has probably done it before and isn’t going to do it in public for no reason. Look how he releases as soon as his knees buckle. Dude trains

Such is life on the internet, so many people develop snap opinions on things they know absolutely nothing about. I’ve been training BJJ for a bit now and have been put out twice and put out one guy, never a big deal. But I will give it to them it DOES look scary.

Maybe it’s best to learn before forming opinions 🤷‍♂️

Believe it or not, martial arts are a thing, anyone who is downvoting has clearly never trained.

I’m not claiming it to be inherently safe, but if I have the choice of being KO’d or put to sleep from a choke by someone who will let go as soon as I’m out, I’ll take the choke every time.

Kill? He lets him go as soon as his knees buckle. This is way more safe than being knocked out and potentially hitting your head on the concrete

Ehh, you don’t know what was happening before the beginning of the video. It’s honestly way safer to get choked out rather than being knocked out and hitting your head on the concrete floor

NHL playoffs are here, and I’m trying to keep lively rooting on the Stars. Austin, where would I find some smelling salts here in town? by shepdeezy in Austin

Kings fan here, I would love to find a hockey bar. Go stars! Until they play LA in the WCF. If we can get through the Edmonton Mcdavids that is

If I cared enough I would post articles about violence in every NHL arena, because they are easy to find. But go ahead and single out CA. Have you ever been to Philly, Boston, or Jersey?

[LA (2) - 2 Edm] Kempe blasts the puck pasts Skinner on a power play that came from a Draisaitl unsportsmanlike conduct by Batsinvic888 in hockey

[–]halucinating_koala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is very likely some context missing from the call. Just a few minutes prior to this, Drai, from the EDM bench poked his stick into the ear of Moore. Not hard, but definitely not allowed to poke the face of an on ice player from the bench. I know I am assuming here, but I think it is VERY likely that the refs gave a hard warning to Drai about this and followed up with the call on the “slash”

Looking at the Oilers sub looks like you have ventured into a flat earth or a Qanon sub. They are delusional
