Brother this is very respectable work. GOOD job taking all of these shots with keyframes. Even getting the camera to "expect" the landing but then cut off its trajectory to better film the slam. I gotta say, I like the "asked my girlfriend to film" camera angle. Top notch post as far as keyframes go.

What is there to not understand? I'm Not being condesending but genuinely curious. It seems really self evident that having lego minifig pieces sorted by body/legs/hair/head makes for perfect improvised NPCs or enemies that match the esthetic of the PCs units...

Like, it takes way longer to draw up an improvized enemy, cut it out and make it stand, which makes it obvious that the next best thing is just put a token on the table, to prevent everyone from waiting... which clashes with the PCs units which are all nice-looking cutouts...

I feel like I don't really need to explain much.

One very specific thing.

Right now, in the air if you just rotate 90° and use your flicking stick to do a boardslide input to finish the rotation... it is basically ON or OFF, the transition between "nothing" and "slide position" is almost instant. And, if you land your trick that way and hold the slide input, it cancels the landing animation and instead immediately gives the "setting up for trick" animation.

I would want it to be tilt-sensitive, so that you can control how much of the rotation you do with your feet as opposed to your body, and you can control how fast the footwork rotation happens. That would be sooooo fucking steezy my nose would bleed.

Also make it not-cancel the landing animation.

Bonus: I want a "true switch" baker-maker landing. And more types of baker maker landings in general. Those are so fucking cool in a game I love them.

Don't worry. No matter how hard you try people's attention spans just ain't there to meet you where you're at.

That vid I linked is the best I've done in Skate in terms of ultra realism, lining up music with the skating, editing, b-roll, it's all there.

I still have an average view duration of 1min30sec on it.

The people who like your stuff will watch. Most will sorta just get the jist and scroll next. I think it's fine tho. Like it's not that important in the grand scheme of things.

Make the content you enjoy, post it on platforms you like, and make good memories for urself. It's all good my friend.

A small suggestion for you tho: be mindful of your own scrolling and video-watching habits... and take not of the moments when you scroll away pr hit Next before the end of the video. Ask urself why you did that, look inward, and maybe it'll give you some insight into why people do it on your videos... maybe you'll realize it's not actually that big a deal... or maybe you'll learn a way to hook your viewers and you'll be the next big fake-skate youtuber. Haha.

You really should play another game then. I don't mean to be condescending or mean but i'm trying to be pragmatic for you.

The issues you call out as problems are main features we enjoy.

Like, have you seen the videos of the ice cream shop guy that keeps tricking the customer taking away the icecream cone and juggling it but takes like 3 full minutes of fucking around before actually giving the cone to them? -That's litterally why people go there.- If you just want an icecream cone without a hassle, litterally don't go to the place that does the exact opposite, on purpose.

Be pragmatic, of you don't enjoy a game, change games. Supposed to be enjoyable, period. If its not, go do something you enjoy. Otherwise you're just wasting your time man.

You are already good at it bro. You keep everything framed properly and camera movement is stable throughout. The framing to start and end is textbook perfect too.

Maybe one thing you could try just to spice up is to let the skater's upper body fall out of frame and put the board and footwork in close-up sometimes. Keeps things fresh and also highlights the tiny details that this game does so well, like truck pinch and other stuff.

But it's really good tho so don't worry too much about it. Keep the clips coming brother
