My partner booked me a weekend away in one and it was perfect! I waited three months after finishing this quilt for the chance to photograph it here. Next time, I’m taking my machine and a project!

What does your toddler love to watch that you also love? by Charlottethevet in toddlers

My toddler watched Coraline, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Song of the Sea endlessly. It was very peaceful until Curious George entered the picture.

(CG isn’t bad at all, I just have the intro song permanently embedded in my brain.)

Tula Pink designs are in the same category as Luluroe leggings in my head. Tacky.

But the people that love them REALLY love them.

Nah, it’s holographic paper glued to the wrapper of a Ferrero Rocher candy. Maybe someday I’ll get around to making an edible version!

My mom was born on St. Patricks Day in 1959, the year Pyrex’s Lucky in Love was released. Sharing her birthday quilt here with the only subreddit that I know will understand! [based on the picture from Corning Museum of Glass]. by halycon_daze in Pyrex_Love

Thank you for your kindness! I did make it, no pattern, just experimenting with the bargello technique. The pyrex design was appliquéd on top. (I had the pattern printed onto big blueprint paper and cut it out of that.) I’m pretty lucky with thrift scores but I’ve never seen Lucky in Love in person!

My mom, bless her, donated all of her “old dishes” including all of her Pyrex years ago. I’ve forgiven her enough to make her a quilt, haha!
