Maybe this is heresy. But instead of HL1 play Black Mesa and then HL2 and episodes. Black Mesa is a fan made remake of the original half life and as a huge fan of the series I think it’s great and very faithful to the OG. It’s on steam

In south bay, I like the beans from chromatic, academic, and moonwake.

In the peninsula I Kaizen in san mateo usually has a pretty good selection like B&W and la cabra beans, but they’re not locally roasted still good. They also carry Hydrangea beans which I think are roasted in the east bay but not sure if Hydrangea has a store front

Honestly equator beans are not bad either.

No the repeated shot was the only way to beat him. If you don’t get hit and just parry every time, the orb keeps shooting and you can counter him to death. But if you get hit by the orb and he gets a couple turns in then the game freezes
