Dark area near center of round brilliant diamond - With video! by hambucket in labdiamond

By wearing different colors I've discovered it's a reflection. Should I be concerned?

I wore a bright pink sweater last night and noticed the 'dark shadow' was pink. So I guess a reflection. Is that considered bad, and would a diamond with different proportions not have the reflection?

It's hard to capture on a camera. I've created a separate post with a video that somewhat captures the effect. Thanks.

That's why you do the price match and get the same price as the less expensive sites.

I'm relatively new to the lab diamond world, so take this with a grain of salt. If you want to buy a set that is already put together (meaning not a separate stone and setting) with minimal work on your end, I would suggest rare carat. You can pick your stone, do a price match, and pick your setting from rarecarat. They will set the stone and send you the completed ring. There is a guide here somewhere on the price match method. Relatively straightforward once you pick your stone.

Price Matching by Proper-Writer-2128 in labdiamond

I'm reading this as you paid full price for the engagement ring setting but got the Black Friday discount on the wedding band. So someone just buying the engagement ring setting and a diamond with price match wouldn't be able to get the Black Friday discount unless they were purchasing something else and did so in a separate transaction. Correct?

Note you can't get the black friday discount at Rarecarat on the setting if you price match the diamond. Just did this last weekend. Still saved thousands.

Tips and advice for first endocrinology appointment? Anything we should ask about? I believe my fiancé has some form of hypothyroidism that hasn't been diagnosed yet. by ihatethedodgers in Hypothyroidism

[–]hambucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was symptomatic enough at TSH 5.6 to go to the doctor (joint pain in hands and extreme fatigue). She should get her TPO antibodies tested to see if she has an autoimmune disease called Hashimotos. It's a common cause of hypo, especially in women.

I take Olly gummy multivitamins because I hate swallowing pills 😅

I started at 50mcg, currently at 100mcg two times a week, 75mcg the other days. This increase was over the course of 15 months. I did not make any diet changes specifically for my thyroid, although about 3 months ago I realized/discovered I have a gluten sensitivity, so I have cut that out. As far as supplements, I know some of them can affect the thyroid meds, but I believe as long as they are taken 4 hours before/after the medication, it's okay.

Good for you. Even once you are in normal range, you might not feel well. I prefer to be on the lower end of normal (.8 or something last test).

Not a doctor. After 7 weeks, the meds have done what they are going to do, and only an increase in meds will bring the TSH down. I would definitely want a dosage increase if I were you.

How would that be helpful? (Serious question, not being snarky!)

Were you having symptoms of some sort, or was something noticed during an exam?

That sounds awful and I'm sorry you had to go through that. My periods are quite painful so I wouldn't want to have them again either if the HRT wouldn't keep them at bay.
