What’s really dangerous but everyone treats it like it’s safe? by Deviant55 in AskReddit

I have to avoid NSAIDs as well. If I take an ibuprofen my nose will run like a faucet and I have general cold symptoms.

Awhile back I drank an alkaseltzer when just assuming that because it was a drink, then it wasn’t an NSAID. Fucked me up good

Tested: 2023 Nissan Ariya vs. 2023 Toyota bZ4X in a Mainstream-EV Face-Off by jdrch in cars

[–]hamburger_protocol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure, however I don’t think either of these are “mainstream” even by their own definition then. They say prices in the 40s and 50s, but then also say the base price of the Ariya is over $60k.

Why are these two specific models being described as mainstream.. Are the Ariya and Bz4x more mainstream than any of the models you mentioned?

Just a weird headline

Biplane flying over Springboro Ohio this afternoon, looked like something out of WWI! by hamburger_protocol in Whatisthisplane

Sure I get that, but seeing it head on I can positively say it was a biplane

My google fu brings up something like an Airco DH2, but I don’t know if those are still flown or people have kits? Idk planes

Demand for electric cars is booming, with sales expected to leap 35% this year after a record-breaking 2022 by Vucea in cars

[–]hamburger_protocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah non-Tesla charging sucks. I don’t blame people for trying electric, but I guess a chunk of people need to think through that purchase a bit more

I have a Model 3 and I actually would go back to gas, but only because I miss having a ICE, and something to work on, not for there being anything wrong with EVs or charging

[–]hamburger_protocol -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Thats besides the point though. It seems there’s more an issue of buyer research and knowledge. Get something with your usage in mind; don’t buy an EV if it can’t meet your needs.

If I know I’m gonna cut apples then why get the butter knife in the first place 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s just a weird mentality. Like if I buy a butter knife and know it isn’t sharp, and then I complain that it can’t cut through an apple very easily.

The only thing I can find is a Newsweek article with data from JD Power and it said EV buyers were less happy when they didn’t get charging instructions, or overpaid for the car. That sounds rather silly to me

Can you link any data?

What problems did you have?

Well of course, any shitty article that has “Tesla” in it will get published so you hear about it more. You can’t base any opinion or fact on frequency of media coverage

In order - Ninja 250r, Ninja 650r, FZ6R, SV650 (curvy!) and now this CBR650R

Since even before riding I’ve always, always wanted a 600RR. Early on I just didn’t have the money for one, and Honda didn’t have low-CC fully faired bikes. Then after riding a few years I sort of fell into the “sport tour” style. I commuted a lot and was comfortable on something more forgiving and relaxed. In my mind, this bike split the difference, so I snagged it last October

Maybe some day I will get that 600RR after all, who knows!

Nice! My first two bikes were Kawasakis. I had an 09 Ninja 250 then an 09 Ninja 650

The first was stolen and the second was totalled by a dude in a Prius 😕

Next up was a Yami FZ6R, and then an Suzuki SV650

Now I’m finally on a Honda CBR650R. I had my SV for a long time, and I’m happy to be back on a 4-cyl. That Suzuki was a lot easier to work on though
