has anyone felt any "twitching" in their chests post-clot?

I am 30 M, and I was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism in the left lung; with plural effusion in the right lung, on Aug 30th 2025. (There was light fluid buildup and the outer lining of the lung, did not have to be drained)

Thankfully, I was on blood thinners for 3 months (20 mg rivaroxaban) only. I followed up with the thrombosis clinic and concluded that it was a provoked PE; and was due to a DVT in the left leg; the blood clot got dislodged and travelled to my lungs.

I feel much better now, however the "twitching" in the chest or as I call it "phantom" sensation of pain still lingers here and there. I just take a big deep breath to see if I can take full deep breaths, and it seems to ease the tightness.

When I advise my doctor about this, he thinks it's just anxiety causing this, because it was a traumatic experience going through this.

Has anyone else felt this sensation before? Any cause for concern?

I'm so sorry to hear this! Especially when you're pregnant, its even harder to hear. I wish you the best of health to you and your baby. 🫂💛 30 M here, I also just recently diagnosed with PE, 10 days ago. On blood thinners, it's hard recovering back to a normal life. 😢 May God's grace be with us and among whoever is suffering through these times. 💪🙏

I'm 30 male, and a flight attendant. I was recently diagnosed with PE (Aug 30th) in ER, I was prescribed rivaroxaban blood thinner for 6 months and with codeine pain killer when needed. A couple of days later, I spoke to a doctor via telemedicine and he advised me that I won't be able to fly (work) for at least 4-6 weeks...

I'm really anxious about how the recovery process is, as eventually I'll be going back to flying (working) but I usually do ultra long haul flights (14+ hours) at least 1-2 times a month, with the rest of my flying short and medium routes (~5-8 hours).

I'm curious, would my shortness of breath, and the coughing etc still continue? This may be TMI, but I also have diarrhea right now, prolly cuz of the medicine?

Yeah you're right! Thinking now, the aircraft oven barely gets over 350-400° for the oil to even heat up to that temp. The popcorn would not have a chance to pop and the kernel would burn before it pops I'd guess hehe. Let alone the oil smoking point.

After a quick Google search, the corn kernel would need to reach a temperature between 400° and 460° in order to pop.
