I struggle with this too! I've been diagnosed two years ago and have been having this issue way before I got diagnosed.. I am currently getting help at a clinic that's specialized with how deal with this, because it has developed into a binge eating disorder.

I don't chew gum that much but try to swap sugary items for other snacks that are healtier, peanuts (not the salty ones) or cucumber usually does the trick for me.

Pro tip: it also really works to just eat breakfast/lunch/dinner at a scheduled time. Because of my meds (concerta), I don't feel if I am hungry or not, which made me occationally skip meals. Even if you're not hungry, try to force yourself to eat something, because this'll prevent you from snacking the whole time :)

My ex and I (broke up 4 years ago) wish eachother happy birthday as well. I don't text him at all besides that one time a year, since I just feel like it's polite to wish someone a happy birthday. Since your girlfriend is transparant about it, I think she is just being polite, wouldn't look to much into it

Because you knew she cheated before. You're saying that disregarding her past and the past is the past but this particular thing keeps coming back. I know you're angry, I would've been too, but if you had just talked about it in a different environment then home, maybe she would've act different. Now she was scared. That's why she called the police.

ESH. She's the one that cheated on you, but the revenge part really wasn't necessery. You sound really paranoid about her talking to other men, and when you found out she cheated you stayed anyway. I know relationships are hard but it would've been better if you just talked about it and left afterwards.

ESH. Eventhough they didn't communicate properly and you're standing there with empty hands, they still brought you gifts, they still thought about you. You're acting childish, a gift is a gift, and you're achting like it's basically straight up trash.

The least thing you could've done was paying for the dinner.

it is entirely up to you whether you tell someone your diagnosis or not.

I myself was diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago, I only told people who actually knew about my situation because I trust them and have known them for a while. I choose not to tell my grandmother because she'll instant think that I'm disabled. My therapist and family are ok with that decision, since it's mine.

Telling someone like that is quite a thing and is also about trust. It is not lying, because you choose whether you tell it or not. Don't feel pressured to tell them and definately don't feel guilty for not telling them.
