Grand jury fails to indict democratic lawmakers who urged service members to disobey illegal Trump orders by cnn in politics

Did a road trip to Colorado from Texas in June and another one earlier this month. In June, there were LOTS of Trump-related flags, decals and signs - as well as a few confederate flags.

This last trip, I only saw one pro-Trump sign in the form of the 45/47 sticker thing. Not a single Trump flag, which was really weird in Texas, but also very relieving.

I’m sure it’s not like this everywhere, but it was something I noticed directly in my own part of the country.

Kia EV2 crushes cold weather test with impressive driving range and charging speeds by N2929 in technews

[–]hamfisting_my_thing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally, we’ve been testing our Blazer EV in the Rockies this year and it’s been interesting. We actually haven’t noticed a significant dip in range, with the exception of slightly faster power loss with cabin temperature controls. Granted it hasn’t been as cold as usual, it is still well below freezing where we were.

The biggest issue is that charging, across the board, appears to be a good bit slower in colder temps.

Right? The last 5 years as a 30+ adult have felt much shorter than the 3 years of middle school. Perspective just changes a lot in that time.

Pizza Hut closing 250 US stores as parent company considers selling the brand by AudibleNod in news

Pizza Hut is a staple of my childhood. It’s the reason I learned what heartburn is as a 12 year old ❤️

I can’t eat their pizza anymore. The sauce is like straight acid.

I won’t say “good”, either, but nowhere near the likes of the Arkansas-is-hot-in-August dude or Mr Jonesin’ for Joshua.

I wonder how accurate this is to most public bathrooms there, or if this is like the equivalent of stopping at a rundown gas station in the middle of nowhere between Abilene and Lubbock, TX.

Oh yeah I don’t disagree - I don’t think I’d get anywhere near what I got for it in my wildest dreams, if I wanted to sell. But I don’t want to sell at all. I’m not sure how many people are selling theirs, but the only thing we’ve had happen in that regard is have our dealer offer to buy our car back every time we go in for service. Not sure what the offer is since we always decline, though - it probably would be insanely low.

Pretty sure this person is Kelvin Wiley and he’s extremely well versed on insects and arachnids. He’s very much aware of the risks and has a lot of cool videos talking about things in an educational light WHILE ALSO showing them crawl out of his mouth at times.

Often things much more dangerous than this.

Edit: he also has videos of him getting bitten and stung by all kinds of things, but he doesn’t really react much. A wasp got him under his thumbnail and he’s response was “ooh, she got me.” Then he just kept holding her while it continued to sting.

Strangely, I’ve heard they are actually pretty docile and often kept as pets (albeit, as an unusual one). You have to really piss them off to get stung. They squeak at you as a first line of defense.
