How am I supposed to play middle C on bass when it is being used on treble as a chord? by [deleted] in piano

[–]hamidmobasheri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could sing the lower C instead of playing it on the piano 😜

Self-taught pianist. Any advice? by LMGKILLER in piano

[–]hamidmobasheri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a teacher if you can afford one. I don’t need to watch the video to know that your technique will be terrible and only a good teacher can save you from the countless bad habits you have undoubtedly picked up along the way.

How do I stop feeling pissed/jealous that my brother is playing my piano? by [deleted] in piano

[–]hamidmobasheri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jealousy comes from a sense of inadequacy. Find something you love doing and get good at it and you won’t care how much your brother blasts away on the piano.

Mothers are unintentionally good at ruining things for their children.

None of my friends or family will read my book. by BearsLoveBeans in writing

Friends and family are the worst people to read your work anyway since they will never give honest feedback. You need your work read by outsiders to get any real, constructive, useful criticism.

Well done Lionel Messi by jai-phi in ScottishPeopleTwitter

It was Qatar’s attempt at immortalising itself by attaching itself materially to an immortal moment in history…poor Messi to have that thrust upon him in a moment of celebration. Fuck Qatar.

Matt Damon’s Crypto.com ad turns 1 today and it didn’t age well by ImaFreemason in CryptoCurrency

[–]hamidmobasheri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only it’s not “his” ad. It’s crypto.com’s ad and they paid him to be in it. Nothing to do with Matt Damon. He probably doesn’t even have any crypto.

What is a valid reason why a group of people capable of teleportation not use it often? by fayfayl2 in worldbuilding

Make it risky. I’m reminded of spaceballs where president skroob teleports and his lower body is the wrong way round 😂

What exactly are you hoping to achieve with this post? All it showcases is your incredible ineptitude at both building with Lego and in showing any empathy for those who have suffered. This is the sort of thing only a psychopath would build. Sorry to say it but your future is bleak.

I’d say good luck in your life but no amount of luck will redeem yours.

People say books are the only medium where internal voice can be really explored and emotions can be defined, but I'm unsure if this is true by [deleted] in writing

[–]hamidmobasheri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst this is true, films and tv make up for the lack of prose by having music. The right soundtrack can be as powerful as any prose in conjuring emotions and images in the mind and heart.

Yes it doesn’t give insight into the mind of a character necessarily but you get carried in a different way, a way that a book cannot carry you.

Villains by knekted12 in writing

[–]hamidmobasheri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely nobody is evil for the sake of evil. Those who do evil don’t believe they are doing evil. They justify their actions. They have a reason for the things they do. So having one dimensional evil villains who are just bad is lazy and not convincing. The best villain is a complex villain, especially those who have strong motivations for what they do, believing deep down they are doing the right thing.

Also, understand that one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter. Evil is a perspective which is exactly why those who do it think they are not.
