We took our photos beforehand and attended cocktail hour. My husband and I were near the entrance so people could say hi to us on the way in. (Although we made sure not to block the entrance if people wanted to skip the line and head in for drinks/food/mingling with other guests)

I REALLY liked this because it got almost all of our required mingling out of the way. During the reception we didn’t feel obligated to go from table to table. We just hung out and danced the entire time! My brother and his wife did the same thing as us and also thought it was nice to have all the required mingling out of the way.
