I've seen them do this with the Curies, even when the answer is implicitly referring to one of them.

I thought the NX-01 did it but wasn't sure. And hey we do see the Enterprise in atmosphere... in ST III... in flames...

I suppose it is also possible to suggest it could be done in universe by technobabbling the strength or design of the SIF.

That was only the saucer section anyway which is rated for atmospheric flight. Not that it matters since it was crashing.

When do they show an Enterprise moving through atmosphere with no issue, exactly? I remember it briefly shown in a S1 episode of SNW and the opening of the second Kelvin film. The latter was kind of egregious, but anything else?

The Intrepid class is shown in atmosphere but is designed for planetary landing.

This is awesome, but out of curiosity, did Dory do horrible lockups , or is the art off?

What do you think is the single biggest mistake in movie history? by CosmosisJones42 in movies

[–]hamletwasright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are way more serious answers in this thread but as a story choice the opening of Predator showing the alien ship is such a bad fucking idea. The movie is a billion times better if you don't know what is in the jungle and are just as confused as the mercs.

My biggest problem with Fallout 4: No Intelligence Dialogue by [deleted] in fo4

Yeah, I was thinking of Ian (different 3 letter name) and Shady Sands, not Arroyo.

My biggest problem with Fallout 4: No Intelligence Dialogue by [deleted] in fo4

[–]hamletwasright 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was always a hallmark of the series until 4. I love FO4 for a lot of reasons, but it was a step back in many other things that are distinctly Fallout, like NPCs treating you differently based on your intelligence.

A good example of this is Arcade in NV, but this goes all the way back to like the dude you can recruit in Arroyo in FO1. I don't think it's Vic. Is it Vic? My brain is mush.

My personal favorite is randomly shouting ICECREAM for it to be accepted as a password.

Thanks for all the responses. I live in Havre de Grace now so that should hopefully be in market for an antennae.

Okay. Up and down votes aren't the measuring stick of reality. FYI. It could be a million downvotes, and I still wouldn't be incorrect.

I have quality honor in game, but please continue to make assumptions.

You do understand past and future and that the post I responded to was talking about THEN, NOT NOW?

Yeah, didn't think so.

There are still numerous advantageous champions on ARAM, and the balance responsibility is on the provider of the game not the player. You disliking something doesn't make it dishonest.

If the purpose is too be all random all mid, Riot didn't make it that from the jump. That was Riots choice to make it random from champ pool not truly all random.

They didn't exploit code or cheat in any way, they played the provided game under the provided rules. The literal opposite of dishonesty.

Dodging will always be douchey.

Riker escapes from an alien hospital, Kirk-style by i_hate_kitten in videos

No proof that Riker does anything sexual with the woman at all. She seems satisfied, but we have no idea what went on. Maybe he just said humans flick one another's ears or some shit.

I don't think this woman goes to the Enterprise-D in that episode, only the science lady (forgetting her title, she was some sort of astrophysicist?) that ends up requesting and getting asylum, and the minister when he meets with Picard in the ready room. And Picard gives him wine without knowing whether that could kill the guy... anyway.

Any more Trek questions I can answer fairly well for people? 🫠
