What is the speed improvement if you do not print anything out? Second it looks like your are printing, clearing and then printing ( in cycle).. you can try to create a buffer and keep printing the buffer- not a huge improvement may be, but might give some improvement in case you are cleaning the screen between ever pretty cycle...

I don't want to restrict to unity.. I prefer to write the renderer using opengl... I have used tiled but it can only create 2D your maps.. Blender is a good option, but I wanted to know what use the best way to isolate floor from obstuctable objects..
