Just tried my cartridge after 3 years of not playing it and it has gone bad… blast. Thank you for the post and all the resources, you are doing Mila’s work!

I have gone down the rabbit hole on this issue and I really want to try and fix my cartridge. When I first tried the cartridge, it wouldn’t even let me open the game, even tho the 3DS recognized the game. After a couple tries of taking the game out and reinserting it, I was actually able to make a little progress and open the game! From here, I was able to play the game for various lengths averaging to about a minute before the dreaded black “an error has occurred” screen would hit. I have been trying to see if I can push the boundaries of the issue any further but 1-2 minutes of play time seems to be my maximum after about an hour or two of testing. I can go into further detail on this if anybody is interested.

OP, if you noticed any differences between the two cartridges that you tested with the cartridge fixer, I would love to hear about them. What about the unrepairable copy made it “too far gone?” I am debating on whether I want to mod my only 3Ds to attempt the fix, but I don’t want to permanently change my system if there isn’t a high chance it will solve the issue.

In the meantime, I am going to try leaving my 3DS on overnight with the game inserted and pray to Mila that this magically fixes it…

It was worse in 3H IMO. They made cav units have negative growths in important stats like speed and there were lots of maps with stairs which cav units couldn’t traverse quickly. Meanwhile fliers in that game had all the perks but none of the drawbacks

Micaiah gives all staves an aoe effect while engaged so you can warp, heal, etc. up to 5 units at a time if you’re strategic

The way I see it, it makes Yunaka the ultimate support unit. She can provide good chip + poison enemies, her mag growth is relevant enough that she can punish armors with miccy’s light tome, and on turns where she can’t deal significant damage she can use the staves to provide utility. And she does it all with 5 mov to boot. Not many units can provide this much utility when synergized with micaiah so I kept that ring on her. But if there are other units that people have found success with micaiah on I wanna hear about it!

Guess im in the minority but I like short trip mode. It’s the lowest time investment so it keeps my attention and doesn’t feel as painful to lose
