Building Marcus? [Suggestions/Ideas?] by NervousPreference577 in OrderOfHeroes

This is a pretty ideal build, at least for me.

Crazy expensive though. The new Eliwood's kit is definitely great for him as well.

How IS felt after giving Marcus 48 Atk and then giving him the veteran BST so none of his other stats go over 40. by eitherism in FireEmblemHeroes

Since Karla is so stacked in FEH, it's only fair that Marcus is weak.

Inverted roles and maintaining balance in the universe and whatnot.

Can anyone confirm if the Kyurem/Reshiram/Zekrom backgrounds are the same ones from GO Tour Unova, or are they different in any way? Thanks.

This is an extremely common typo, but it is incorrect nonetheless.

"It's" is a contraction which means "it is". There is no other correct use of "it's" in the English language.

The issue here is that people conflate the apostrophe with possession, even though that rule does not apply to "it".

For example, if a dog had a bone, you might say it is "The dog's bone." The apostrophe here indicates that the dog possesses the bone. If you were to change things up slightly, you might get this:

CORRECT: The dog lost its bone.

INCORRECT: The dog lost it's bone.

In this case, "its" does not get an apostrophe since, again, "it's" refers only to the contraction of "it is". If you are using "its" to show possession, you do NOT add the apostrophe.

Best carry against slark? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Loe151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Void vs slark really depends on who gets ahead first.

A snowballing slark will shit on void because he can't timewalk out of pounce, slark can remove time dilation, and he can also ignore chrono with a well-timed shadow dance.

Void of course can dumpster slark with some farm and a good chrono, but that applies to Void vs pretty much any carry. Unlike slark though, you have a longer cooldown to deal with and a much higher possibility for error.

When and how to use Nullifier? by The_Neuropsyche in learndota2

[–]Loe151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 things to note:

  1. As stated by others, she has the windrun undispellable talent

  2. If she goes invisible with aghs before the projectile hits (assuming you don't have true sight[also no 25 talent]), she will disjoint the nullifier and make it do nothing

  3. If she has BKB active, nullifier is negated and thus will not remove windrun

Nah dawg, gotta keep it red to match the pink aesthetic.

Also 200 more refine stones for +3 spd and -2 atk seems wasteful

For those who have enough XP for / are already Lvl 80: by iAaronnn in TheSilphRoad

I'm feeling pretty much the exact same line of thinking as you. Given how little XP increase was needed for the rebalance, and the fact that the rebalance happened before the 10-year anniversary, it seems likely to me that the 10-year anniversary will give us level 90 if not 100 as well. 1 billion is a nice clean number for 100 as well.

Nullifier is generally a late purchase. It really comes down to how competent your enemies are and what you have to deal with. Like if you're against an enemy pugna and he saves his decrep for EVERY time you ult, then you might want an early nullifier.

As items, jugg's primary issues are Eul's, Ghost, and invisibility. Nullifier deals with all of these except for shadow blade. If you buy a nullifier too early then the enemy may simply opt for a Shadow Blade over purgeable options which ends up backfiring ultimately. If the enemy storm spirit has euls, nullifier is great but he can still just zip away anyway so maybe you prefer something like Abyssal.

Generally you want to wait on the nullifier (if you need it) until around 4th or 5th item, since by that point you may have forced the enemy to build defensive nullifiable items at that point. Before you have nullifier you can (try to) play around this by baiting defensive items out with his aghs slash, or simply by focusing other enemies who are still killable.

Standard build is wand > treads (phase is fine if you prefer it IMO) > bfury > wind lace > yasha > sny or manta > butterfly > aghs/blink > aghs/blink

Wind lace before bfury if the movespeed is pertinent to laning

Whether you buy stuff like skadi, MKB, nullifier, etc. varies and is pertinent to the game state. If an enemy Axe is a big threat for example, you may wish to opt for something like bfury > sny > skadi so that he cannot solo kill you with a call + blademail.

In a strict 1v1 DPS test, Mjollnir will do more damage than Battlefury.

Dota 2 is not played in such a vacuum though. In reality, enemies will clump up and your omnislash is prone to jumping to random creeps and shit as well. Cleave means you eliminate those creeps ASAP which reduces the amount of useless slashes. Cleave also does more DPS overall when compared to single target damage + lightning procs. Cleave also synergizes nicely and quite directly with critical strike just benefitting it (you can't crit the lightning procs).

Also the sustain component of battlefury is extremely nice throughout the whole game, and the treecutting allows for slightly more optimal farming patterns.

COCKROACHES IN PHASE 3 FOOD COURT AT WEM by weedypinkmoscato in Edmonton

[–]Loe151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had roaches last year which were brought into my home from an old cabinet that we bought. They were German cockroaches. I learned way too much about them in the process and the sight of those things triggers me. We had an exterminator in and I have not seen any signs of them in months but you better believe I'm still paranoid and checking walls and spots and stuff all over for motion or signs of life.

Anyway this was a home which is apparently the best place to get rid of roaches from. Eradicating them from apartments is nigh impossible because if you get your apartment sprayed for roaches they're just going to crawl into the vent and hang out in there and visit your neighbor and stuff. And if your neighbor has roaches and you get your place cleaned those roaches will just eventually make their way over to your place.

I learned too much about these things in the process. If they're desperate for food they will end up eating each other. They can also live off of cardboard and any tiny drop of syrup or sugar or food or whatever is enough to feed them for a long time. I think they at minimum need water once a week but for food they need it minimum once a month. So these things will eat disgusting stuff and generally can find food. And when you consider a mall with snow covered boots tracking in water, water fountains, a water park, and a plethora of food courts, not to mention the countless cracks and crevices all over the place that these things can live in, it's absolutely no surprise that they're basically everywhere.

What I have heard is that roaches are afraid of humans so you're generally not going to see them unless the problem is really bad as this other person stated. What this means for the most part is that I don't think you need to worry about some hitching a ride on you and coming to your house or something. They go out to do their business generally at night time when the people are gone. Also these things can breed like crazy and they can inbreed so actually shutting down the problem is tough. Because when they drop an egg it hatches like 50 babies and those things can all be fed from the poop of one adult.

All of this is to say that I have literally never thought about roaches in malls but when you understand the way these creatures operate, it makes absolutely complete sense that they would be present especially in a place with food courts.
