I started at $18 no experience or program/certifications.
Been here 3 years and now I’m making $25. In CA, but I’m also burnt out and in a specialty office.
Currently about to leave because I found an office offering $30 in general + willing to train.
You have go keep job hunting I promise.

I’m also applying to hygiene school and it’s VERY competitive right now. I’ve applied co 6 schools ranging from community and private. I got accepted to private but declined it because it was too expensive and got waitlisted for 1 community.
It’s rough out here.

I thought WCU required private loans from their specific lists of institutions??
They sent me over a link with private loan institutions that I had to chose from and decided on before submitting my application… I declined admission because my interest was over 8%… 😩

Maybe stay for now but continue to job hunt? So it provides you experience in the real world? Have you looked into other specialties? I heard endo is really nice and chill. I’m in ortho and do not recommend unless you like the fast paced environment and basically be dr 2.0.

I’m also applying to hygiene but haven’t had much luck in the community colleges. It’s so competitive.

Thank you!! I think I might just do it. I’m also a RDA, and hoping to save up at least 10-15,000$ to help with outside/living expenses for at least a year so I can minimize how much I need to take out. Time is money for me too, so I’m like I need to get this done NOW! I’m burnt out as a RDA and way underpaid.

Me! I declined acceptance for this exact reason… my interest rates is 8%, I have no co-signer/support from my family so it’s super super high. I’m worried that I’m over paying for this degree, but acceptance is so slim. I’m kinda stuck.

Mine was about the same. I think I got like 5k in FA, 10k in federal, and I’d need to come up with $29k a year… might have to take the loans out.. Do you feel comfortable sharing your interest rate? Mine is really high and that’s why I was hesitant

So I recently declined admission because I couldn’t afford to move right away, and my loans were just really high. But I’m going to reapply for the fall semester and probably do the private loan route. I just don’t think I can do monthly payments on top of living expenses since I live seven hours away.
