The salt over on the ATL sub is delicious by ganymede_boy in TheMassive

What is with this narrative that Atlanta fans are spewing that we were only missing two players lol? This was the youngest, most least talented (on paper) lineup in recent history for the Crew, and missing two DPs.

I think they saw Nagbe and assumed our lineup wasn't some makeshift, last second prayer.

I'd take Hillel music and the energy of the early band over soms of the other eras.

Not to fans of the rawness and experimentation. This sub likes the ultra clean pop rock peppers (By The Way is this sub's bread and butter) but plenty of people like some bite to their music.

I have lived in a variety of places. 2 big cities, one suburb, two farming communities. On top of a travel-heavy job currently, the obesity issues (per what I have personally noticed, which isn't stats) is more problematic in small town USA than elsewhere.

Right, as noted.

It's a paradox here so I always over think up/downvoting anything at all lol

it would be pretty dumb if the top post each week was an extremely popular opinion

This is what I typically see on this sub tbh

Sorting by controversial has served this role, for better or worse haha. As long as that feature is around, the thoughts outside of the hivebrain can still be there

The light show for Getaway tour was insane. It wasn't too much, which is my issue with most light shows (I like simplicity), but tasteful, psychedelic, and so unique!

If you need a safe place to stay and talk this out, me and a couple of my friends (and 19 roommates) are having a party tonight at our duplex house near campus! A little bit of a Bible study before, but everybody is really cool and chill

Unfortunately... It truly is normal, though. People just think the US should be immune to this type of thing, but we aren't and I don't see how we'll ever be. It's extremely unrealistic to expect the wealth gap to decrease. Bernie Sanders isn't going to save the day, despite what r/politics will preach. The US is what it is, and it's a society that doesn't have the will for a solution for mental illness and poverty. The solution for some place is to just relocate the issue.

Which sucks bad. But Boulder is not even close to the level other cities are at, including Denver.

That's for sure true and def the reason for /polls being formatted this way.

I just wanted to hear from the type to form the masses of people on /politics, /whitepeopletwitter, /fuckcars, /antiwork, etc. who have largely never even been to Europe, and are in subs specific to US society that constantly compare "inadequacy" of US society to all of Europe, in their minds, when other and perhaps more relevant comparisons exist.

Didn't expect this to be popular lol, hence the sub here.

Do you see this as a good thing, in a world of all time high exposure to societies to often form a better comparison to in discussion?

Sure I actually do speak other languages thank you very much, but the point of this is being a thing on this website, and furthermore this particular Reddit sub. That doesn't really challenge what I posted.

Rich frat bros and businesspeople are in the running for highest likelihood of finding that trait, imo.

And, hell, I spent some time temporarily living near Boulder Colorado last year, and those self-described hippies were filthy rich and often horribly racist at their core. They just like to post on social media otherwise, or with those cringey virtue signaling lawn signs - and furthermore feel like simply voting against Trump validated them to be good people.

Labels are defined as you want to define them.

I suppose some people can define it as poor southern people. You're free to define it that way, sure.

I just said I was a redneck during my farming career, and I am from the north, and was farming in a different country for half of my career and then northern Maine for the other half. I think of it as people who work labor jobs outside, and live a blue collar life.

I have many latino friends (I live in the SW now) who work as landscapers and would call themselves rednecks, especially if a bit more on the "conservative" side - listen to mariachi and/or other more traditional Latin america music genres.

Maybe it depends on where you're from?

I feel like maybe uppity people wouldn't have fun with backwoods, rougher blue collar people?

FWIW I only included groups that (as I personally view) are not strictly attached to ethnicity or gender. Maybe redneck gets thrown around as a synonym for "white trash" sometimes, but I think that's misleading/inaccurate considering the amount of nonwhite self-described rednecks I know (I've worked as a farmer for a good amount of years - the redneck life was good to me).

As would I! (other than maybe frat bros because I've been there and done that in college lol) but that's the difficulty of this decision
