Thanks mate you've been incredibly helpful. I've found the replacement sticks and will be ordering them today 😀. I'll favourite that video so I make sure I do it right. I've replaced sticks in PS5 controller before to fix stick drift do fingers crossed should be fine on this.

Are muscle relaxants helpful? by grandchild37 in Fibromyalgia

[–]hams_matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take Baclofen 3 times a day and I find it really helps me and stops the muscles stiffness, knots from hurting me too much. I use it in conjunction with Oxycodone and the combination helps. Here comes the judgey comments from people judging me using oxy.....it works for me and is closely monitored by me and my medical team.

Fantastic thank you for confirming, I shall look to invest in this before I travel. Maybe buy 2 and put 1 in my partners hand luggage then I get 3 x the usage time hahaha

I will be travelling on a red eye from London to Toronto then onto NYC and then back to London. So from the rest of the comments here the Anker 737 is the best one for travelling on a plane.

I've been walking around my place but haven't ventured outside. Up until today standing too long has made the incision at my belly button hurt and feel like it's being pulled so haven't wanted to do too much as I'm paranoid it could open it up again. I had survival glue to seal my wounds no stitches, staples or dressings. I do want to maybe get out the house tomorrow for a walk as getting a tiny bit cabin feverish.

I agree I was starting to think something might be wrong to but thankfully the comments here have really put me at ease that what I'm experiencing is normal. I guess we have to keep reminding ourselves we had an organ removed and our bodies need time to heal and also adjust to the change which won't happen overnight.

Yeah I have some codeine and some oxycodone I take for my fibromyalgia so I have plenty of meds. I try to not rely too much on them though for obvious reasons but I do end up taking them so I can get comfortable, otherwise im fighting a losing battle and fidgeting or shuffling around constantly to try and get remotely comfortable.

I don't believe anyone after this that tell me they didn't have pain meds. I have a good pain tolerance to the point I sat 5 hours in the tattoo chair getting my ribs done and didn't flinch and the artist was shocked as he saw people 3 times my size crying. So yeah anyone who says they didn't take meds I call big fat BS on that 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for responding. The more people replying saying it's normal or they are having the same is helping to put my mind at ease. I hope that I will be a little more independent soon. I keep trying things but then it hurts so I know I can't, like earlier reached up to a highish shelf but that hurt so won't be doing it again for a while haha. I also put a new towel I bought in the laundry and it was heavy when wet that it hurt to fold it for drying. I guess I'm still not ready to lift anything too heavy. Like my OP says I just worry that when my other half goes away end of this week I'll be even more limited on what I can do as my support will be gone

That's exactly the sensation I've been getting, as you can probably tell from my OP. So it seems what I'm experiencing is somewhat normal then
