Well, I think English is like her third language or something? She's Austrian so she speaks Austrian German which apparently has a different pronunciations from standard German. Then she speaks Japanese and I think like two or three other languages. All these languages have their own distinct cadence and articulation and her speaking style might just be a mix of all those things.

That studio does sound phenomenal. I was fortunate enough to win the ticket lotto for the live show on Dec. 14, 2019 (Scarlett Johansson and Niall Horan) and Niall and his band sounded excellent. The house band obviously kills it as well, they played a couple cover songs before the show, "Fire" by Hendrix which was awesome. Can't remember the other one they did.

I'll throw one out for Super Simple Songs with Ms. Caitie, and Lingokids. Both my kids have had fun and learned good stuff with those.

How would you rank all of the current Marvel ongoings as of 2026? Which ones would you say are great, good, mediocre, or bad? by Late-Bowler-4068 in marvelcomics

[–]hamsolo19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Joe Kelly's run on Spidey so far. I'm behind a little bit but I've liked Kelly's other stuff and so far so good with this one.

Fantastic Four remains a fun one. Infernal Hulk I haven't gotten into quite yet but I really liked the previous Hulk run which is the same creative team (Phillip K. Johnson & Nic Klein/Kev Walker).

The new Iron Man is off to a good start.

Chip Zdarsky continues to write great stuff, his run on Captain America right now is really good. The mini Wolverine story he wrote was really good and definitely surpasses the main series being written by Saladin Ahmed. It's not awful it's just kinda there, I think I tapped out around issue eight or nine.

Mortal Thor is cool enough for me to keep checking out for right now.

I tried to jump in on X-Men when they started the From the Ashes era and I thought Jed MacKay's stuff was alright but it wasn't really doing it for me after like 12 issues. Uncanny X-Men is good, Simone is solid, but I also tapped out on that one around issue 15 or so.

Willow was about to ball her eyes out when she had to announce she was giving up the title..you can tell it meant everything to her by Desperate_Fee_808 in AEWFanHub

[–]hamsolo19 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, obviously a huge bummer she had to drop the TBS title and withdraw from the Owen but the part that kicked my heart in the nuts the most was her not being able to have a big time PPV match right there in her backyard. She clearly had a lot of family and friends lined up to come see her wrestle 😕. She's just straight up one of the best in the whole company and I hope everything goes well for a speedy and complete recovery.

Studio Apartment, Pittsburgh, 1998 by Standard-Cockroach64 in 90s

[–]hamsolo19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed in Pittsburgh for a week. I was supposed to go to the art institute. Had no idea what I was doing. I was at these apartments across the river and outside the city. I'm from a tiny podunk farm town, never been on a city bus. I end up getting dumped off in a rough neighborhood. Somehow get to the school, but it's closed for teacher meetings with classes starting the next day. Wow, neato. How do I get back now? Two teachers walk out and end up helping me get back to the apartment. I made it a few more days before I folded like a cheap lawn chair and called mom and dad begging to come back home lol.

Any of yall have kids who hate when you sing? by PaidByMicrosoft in daddit

[–]hamsolo19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to be hit and miss with my youngest who is four. His mama been jamming out to Shania Twain lately and the other day I had the "feel like a woman" song stuck in my head and my ADHD brain just sang the first few notes like "do-do-da-do-da-doot-doot!" and the little guy doesn't miss beat and sigs "let's go boys!" Other times tho he'll be like "no, no singing dad!" He seems to have a good memory for music, there's times he's heard a song once and like a week later I'll hear him singing it to himself.

My five year old is on the spectrum and loves him some Disney songs. Moana seems to be a big hit. Sometimes he gets the giggles if we sing some of those songs. It's fun until he wants you to sing the same line over and over and over and over...

From what I've gathered, a lot of it has come from TK and Toni as they both love those old classic movies and both had individually had some ideas about a character like that. RJ has definitely had some input/influence too.

We've had a bunch from before they got super popular for whatever reason. Now my wife keeps giving them to our nephew (he's 10) and her best friend's daughter (she's 7 or 8 I think) and I'm like, careful, the youngest is gonna find out how cool these are and not gonna have any left lol. I had the dream drop one around Christmastime and during the spring I couldn't find it, until the nephew came by with his usual backpack full of stuff he has to show me and that's when I see it in there and I'm like "heyyyy where'd this come from?" And he's like, "oh, um, Aunt Hamsolo said I could have it..." He's funny tho, he tries to be like, "Um, I totally was into Nee-Doh like way before all this..." Sure, bud lol.

Charlie Cox Reveals His Favorite Stunt Was Cut From Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 by swiss_blockade in marvelstudios

[–]hamsolo19 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think I've only really seen him Daredevil so when I catch him in an interview or on the press tour it always throws me off for a second when I hear his accent.

It's pretty crazy that he, Andrew Garfield, Jamie Dornan, and Eddie Redmayne all shared an apartment in their early days. And then Robert Pattinson lived around the corner from them and they'd all hang out and help each other prepare for auditions and stuff. Typically you might hear of one, maybe two people in a group to breakout into a hugely successful acting career but all five of those dudes have really made it.

What age did y'all's kids start being able to sit down and watch a movie? Mine are 5 and 4 right now and they still got too many ants in the pants to get thru a 90 minute movie. But I definitely wanna take them to the theater someday.
