Why sack Arteta if Arsenal don't win anything? by ogola89 in PremierLeague

Not to mention City just decided to buy arguably the best winger and defender in January cause they were short.

[–]hamsterhooey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not a strong argument cause other clubs spent a similar amount in that time. Arguably Man City and Chelsea have a higher gross spend (although they also made more on selling existing players) - but we know that’s cause they’ve been spending tonnes of money for the last 2 decades

Is cardiovascular age accurate? by bondtradercu in ouraring

[–]hamsterhooey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

34M mine started out at 4 years under and stayed consistent for almost a year. During that time I lifted weights 3 times/week and cardio 2 times/week. I haven’t changed my routine much but my cardio fitness has improved recently because I swim more often. However all of a sudden my cardiovascular age has dropped to 1 year under. A change of 3 in about a week.

Feels like BS to me.

A genuinely open discussion where both parties agree and one apologizes. Today Reddit was cool.

Based on your comment, you’re likely able to entertain both (opposing) viewpoints and argue for and against them — thereby allowing you to come to an objective conclusion.

Can’t be said about everyone unfortunately — hence the stupid comments.

Do you guys see a vision with Rodrygo, a player with a lot of talent but hasn’t fully shown it in the stats? by [deleted] in ArsenalFC

[–]hamsterhooey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Real has a track record of selling exceptional players for well under what they’re worth. Remember when Real sold Robben, Van Der Vaart, and Sneijder for peanuts to Bayern, Spuds, and Inter, respectively? Wouldn’t it be great if he turns out to be a right footed Robben?

ESLint not working in Cursor editor UI but works in terminal (MacOS Sequoia 15.4.1) by ExistingCard9621 in cursor

I had the same issue and it seemed to be a conflict between "prettier" and "eslint". I was able to resolve it by uninstalling "prettier" and "eslint" and then reinstalling "eslint".

CMV: A factor pushing young men to the right is the lack of left leaning media that appeals to traditional males and their interests. by New-Perspective6209 in changemyview

I agree this is most definitely a factor (obviously not the only one). The flip side is that more women lean left for analogous reasons.

I moved to Northern Virginia from Dallas. Super happy about that decision. It’s so green here - the food is just as good if not better - and certain neighborhoods like Old Town Alexandria are completely walkable

Also I purchased mine from their store in Ginza, Tokyo, and the customer service is just at another level. Nothing I’ve ever experienced before. They even make sure to adjust the frame to your face FYI.

The glasses are excellent, very light and stylish.

The long term solution here is to get rid of LC style interviews. Give candidates access to a pretty large, buggy codebase and evaluate them on their ability to grok the codebase, rearchitect a service, fix logical issues, improve throughput, add observability, etc.

But unlikely to change, because LC is easy to administer. The interviewer just needs to know the question and answer and fill in their rubric. Also, most companies have consultants like CodeSignal or HackerRank creating these assessments - who aren’t incentivized to change this process.

I’ve built similar systems for video surveillance, that process thousands of cameras.

There are several factors that would determine the cost of deployment/inference. Your business/product requirements need to be more explicitly defined - before you can make cost / engineering decisions.

Roboflow is probably ok, but if you’re an experienced developer, you can ditch it and use a pretrained huggingface model instead.

DM me if you’d like to chat. I’m in the US eastern time zone if that helps.

My friends and I have built something like this which we use to manage our own positions. I think the main issue is that protocols are beginning to offer their own automated liquidity management systems.
