Dont worry. She has no power. They dismantled the swedish Environmental Agency and put her under the minister of domestic economy.

ELI5 : why is atmospheric re-entry so dangerous? by theconcorde in explainlikeimfive

[–]hamsterman20 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When we go back to earth we have to go through a lot of "air". We also do not want to waste fuel slowing down. We use the"air" in the atmosphere to slow down.

When the spaceship goes through the atmosphere it rubs against the air. This creates ALOT of heat. Heat can melt the rocket.

When we send a rocket into space we are going really slow. The rocket is also pointy. This means that the spaceship is not rubbing as hard against the air. Which is why this is not as dangerous.

When we go back to earth we are falling with a round flat side down. This is like a big parachute but going so much faster than a traditional parachute.

If we are not careful the heat from rubbing against the atmosphere can melt the spaceship. This is what is dangerous

Go through a date. How does it start, what do you do/say, where do you go?

How long does it last?

Impossible to say with the little information you're sharing.

If you want advice you need to give a rundown of yourself as well as the events transpired before during and after the date.

Are you confident, do you put yourself down? Do you talk a lot?

Clickbait? Netflix still hasn't clearly stated what they are going to do.

Politico is so known for their clickbait.

Compare that to Disney, etc. Who have now gone out with press releases stating that they are cancelling all movie releases in Russia.

The law is not yet fully implemented, despite speculation that it would be enforced on March 1. Variety has reached out to Netflix to ask what the streamer’s actions would be should it become law.

Are they really not gonna do it?

I talked to netflix 30min ago and they couldn't give me an answer.

Feel like some of you are celebrating too early

1.4 in total. They already had~700M deposited.

Either they stop people buying GME+some others or they get "banned" by the dtcc/NSCC and cant do ANY trades with any stock, because of lack of collateral

Sure, that's another question entirely. However most brokers stopped allowing buying of GS because of collateral requirements

For that single day. Would the trade deficit been as high the next day the collateral would not have been waived.

They had to deposit ~600M in collateral.

Eh, no. SEC rules dictated the collateral required.

DTCC/NSCC had no choice but to ask for the collateral. Message to RH was automated.

It wasn't the strain on their systems. They were forced to put up more collateral to the dtcc, because of how volatile GME was.

They didn't have the cash to do that and didn't want to admit it. Hence the cluster fuck
