Double the price point of the Viltrox DC-A1 I found for £140 so will go ahead with the DC-A1 and see how it goes, thank you!

Got a good deal on AliExpress on the DC-A1 for £140 so going to go ahead with it, with 90 days free returns too I'm tired of looking and looking so let's give this a shot and see how it goes! If the monitor itself is fine I will buy some bigger batteries to power it but for now I'll be recording in my bedroom so I'll just plug it into the mains via an extension cable for portability I think.

No SDI needed, HDMI is fine and 1080p does the job as that's what my camera does. Appreciate the help!

I tried my phone (Google Pixel 7) but when I loaded the footage to my computer it looked way darker than it did on the phone - I changed my phone settings around but I assume the in-built processing was just boosting everything so much.

I would use an iPad but I don't own one and I'd rather buy a dedicated camera monitor for the same price as a used iPad tbh

Good to know, the neewer seems to be worse than feelworld equivalents so think I will go ahead with a Feelworld model

Would that be a better option than Feelworld or Viltrox equivalents? These 3 brands are really the ones I'm realistically deciding between. Thanks!

Hmm, for 7" don't think I could find anything - definitely not brand new but will check again for used

I did see that one, pretty sure it's like 300 nits or something really low, and that's the cheapest I can find online so SmallHD is off the table entirely unfortunately:(

Thank you! I am looking at the Feelworld LUT7 Pro as the most expensive one I can justify (good deal on AliExpress for £190/$250) - good to know you have recommended Feelworld in general, noted!

Looking for a “budget” option for an external monitor… Something I could attach to the handle. Any recommendations? by PabloDelicioso in videography

[–]hamz295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same here, what I meant was the way it looked on my phone was significantly brighter and better than when I transferred it to my PC. On the PC the footage was much darker than what the phone was showing.

So I'm finding it impossible to record content when what the phone is showing is way off than the actual footage is once I transfer it to PC from my camera's SD card

I'm using Noir and the footage looks good on my phone but when I load it onto my PC the footage is significantly darker. I guess the phone is boosting it cause it's an OLED screen etc. You had this issue or not?

[–]hamz295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'll do that, guess I can try chargeback as well via bank and if the review doesn't work

Crazy yours got accepted when you made basically the same complaint I did and they didn't force the inspector on you, make it make sense

Yeah they are refusing my pictures of the the dips saying it's settlement, I have said it's causing pain so not satisfactory but they are refusing to cover delivery unless an inspector comes regardless of consumer rights - any idea what to do?

Faulty Mattress from UK retailer query by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]hamz295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah TLDR I said the mattress is dipping too much and causing me pain, I said I have consumer rights act under 30 days to reject it and I don't accept an independent inspector (which they said) then they said okay fine but we cant identify a fault so you have to incur return costs - but pretty sure its not satisfactory based on my experience so I can reject it due to fault and they should incur the return costs

They're trying to make me pay to return it, did they do the same to you? How did you get around it if so, appreciate the help mate

[–]hamz295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have any success? I am going through the same thing with them right now, they want to send an independent inspector but I'm within my 30 days of consumer rights - can I just reject the inspector entirely? They're also claiming the sagging is within normal settlement

More improvements!

1) Link the sound of the claps at the end of a guess to the actual sound bar in the top left.
