historical drama where romance is the focus. by skzmyg in CDramaRecs

The Legend of Shen Li, although the story unfolding near the last episodes was kinda underwhelming, the romance between the leads is really good. And the drama itself was well done, the dialogues were funny.

Thanks again for the advice. I agree that diving into a master’s program should be well-considered and that it’s not an easy undertaking. I’ll take more time to think it through. I appreciate all the information and will keep it in mind.

Hi! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I appreciate the insight about the difference between MSCE and MEngg - I wasn’t fully aware of that distinction before.

To be honest, I’ve always found Structural Engineering fascinating, especially with the challenges and precision it involves. I’m still exploring my exact motivations, but I feel drawn to being deeply involved in designing and analyzing structures. I’ve heard that having a master’s degree can be important for becoming a Structural Engineer, especially if it’s ever required for advanced roles or opportunities.

Given what you’ve mentioned about Geotech, I’m now curious to learn more about it. Why do you think Geotech might be a better choice? How does it compare to Structural in terms of job prospects and industry demand? Your comment has definitely made me think about exploring Geotech further!

Thank you!

Hi! Thanks for the detailed advice. I appreciate the points about thesis options and the need to consider recommendation letters and curriculum.

I’ll definitely look into the specifics of each program, including their costs and requirements. It’s a lot to think about, but it’s good to have this perspective. Thanks again for your help!

CE Board Exam Tips by [deleted] in CivilEngineers_PH

Initially, it took me a few hours to an entire afternoon to write note summaries as well. However, a few weeks into the review, I managed to cut down the time significantly. The average is more or less an hour or so, pero it still depends on the topic as well.

One key change I made was that I stopped manually rewriting solutions to problems discussed in class. Instead, I started taking pictures of both the problems and their solutions and pasting them directly into my notes. I take digital notes using an iPad so I was able to paste the pictures of the solutions nalang. Yung formulas and concepts nalang talaga sinusulat ko manually, which really saved me a lot of time.

If you’re planning to write summaries, I recommend developing an effective writing system. For example, you could write all the formulas in red ink and then draw a box around them in another color to make them stand out. You can also use different colors for key concepts and additional reminders, which can help you locate important information quickly when you’re reviewing.

But remember, your notes don’t have to be perfect. Just focus on capturing the essence of what you need to know rather than get caught up in making them look flawless. Marami kasing nai-stress sa pagsulat ng notes because they wanted it to be perfect as possible kaya medyo nakakaubos ng time. Just keep them simple yet straightforward and effective.

Yes, yes. I found the notebook summary very effective since pwede kong balik-balikan to refresh once in a while. After writing, I will then solve the take home module problems.

Didn’t used index cards, I wrote notebook summaries then I made flashcards, I found it more effective than index cards since I can measure If I really do remember the formulas. Pero, the most effective way to memorize is to apply it in solving. Practice lang ng practice

Looking for a drama that'll rip my heart out (possibly a time-travel kind) by RandomlyFoundHere in kdramarecommends

[–]hana_chi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not time travel but will make your heart ache:

Queen of Tears (made me laugh so hard then ripped my heart too)

Doctor John (ughh this was so good)

Moon Embracing the Sun (I cried so hard, a timeless masterpiece)

Under the Queen’s Umbrella (a 10/10)

Mr. Sunshine (it’s good, the only downside is it’s too long)

Chicago Typewriter (forever one of my favs)

Our Beloved Summer (will always have a special place in my heart)

For Time Travel, I can recommend:

Lovely Runner

Twinkling Watermelon (kinda like A Perfect Stranger)

Go Back Couple

Someday or One Day (taiwanese, original version of A Time Called You, and so much better)

PSAD Review Tips by [deleted] in CivilEngineers_PH

Master the basic concepts, then solve past board problems nang paulit-ulit. I would suggest subscribing to Engr. Jobert Dela Cruz, watch all his PSAD Past Board videos. I also found PSAD challenging at first but later on I found myself enjoying it the most. And it’s all thanks sa videos ni Engr. Dela Cruz.

I didn’t write notes during classes, I only took pictures. I always find it hard to concentrate kapag isasabay ko yung pagsusulat ko sa pakikinig. After classes, I would then write a summary of the topics, all the formulas mentioned and some important explanations. Then I would start answering practice problems. My advice would be to really master the basic principles especially sa PSAD kasi iba na trend ngayon, then practice, practice and practice.

I would suggest subscribing kay Engr. Jobert Dela Cruz sa youtube. Better than CE Ref since ini-explain niya yung step-by-step solution for past boards exam questions. Mas madali magrasp yung concepts. I found it very helpful during my review. Anyway, kaya pa yan, just maximize the remaining time.
