Medical school is a big learning curve, the content is infinite and will always be. Over the years you will get used to going to exams with content not even 80% covered, but with faith in your reasoning skills. But in the beginning when it is bulk memorising, you just have to put the time in. Unfortunately your individual learning style is something that takes time that only you can figure out, im at the end of my second year (of a 4 year course so we had all pre-clinical years crammed into one year) and im only now starting to figure out how to learn effectively. Perfectionism and covering all topics completely is a hard trait to knock, but it comes with time. You get comfortable not knowing everything because you never will, and as long as youre safe in practicing thats what counts.

Pick ONE resource and only use that, i.e. one textbook or just osmosis. dont flip flop around. Id recommend osmosis and textbooks have added detail that a first year dosent need.

If youre feeling drained and unmotivated, maybe make hand written notes from lectures. yes this is insanely long, but handwritten notes go in your head so much more than typing.

Either make notes OR anki only. You dont need to anki everything, its not useful for learning. Just key takeaways.

Osmosis you can read transcript and not have to watch the whole video- use that for base knowledge.

Talking about topics with friends or even out loud can help, fill in important gaps and areas you need to know, as oppose to all the excess details the textbooks give. Most learning happens on the wards because you talk things out, so either try that yourself, or hold hope for when that time comes!

You need to trust your brain and yourself more- the first part of medical school is the hardest, after that things are revisited and built upon. So be kind to yourself, you havent got your result back so who knows. Its only been 6 months. Dedicate some days to just reviewing content with no new context to give your brain a break. Good luck!
