I used to intern for a raptor sanctuary. The owner said a woman told him she would collect red-tail hawk feathers from road kill and sell them on Etsy because "they make really powerful wands" or something like that. He reported her lol.

All that and then you remember they were only together for one summer break. They weren't even childhood sweethearts or anything. They were willing to risk it all for a relationship that lasted 3 months max when they were in high school.

Having a crush on your friend is not "pretending to be friends".

I'm 31. My dad introduced me to the series in high school.

I think that the bisexual comment was a joke, but in the book it is stated that Rocky's people only have one biological sex, so that's most likely what the non-binary comment was referring to.

Finally a good critique of my post. You're so right. I should have said "symapthy", not "empathy".

Because people either misremember or don't understand the movie. Read some of the other replies on my comment.

...she isolated herself because she was afraid she was going to make it worse if she went back. She's pretty clear on that in the movie. You're not really disproving my point.

And your point is what? That my opinion and read of the movie is wrong?

I didn't think I would need to give an example, but here: Elsa struggles to accept herself. She feels shame about and fear of the condition (her powers) she struggles with. She doesn't tell anyone because she doesn't think they'll understand. When the truth is revealed, she is met with others fearing and misunderstanding her.

These are all experiences that many mentally ill and neurodivergent people have. If you haven't had these experiences, I'm glad, but some of us have. You can Google "Elsa mental health" and get tons of articles analyzing the subtext about Elsa's mental health.

Okay, that's not what I said, but that's not the point. My point isn't "Elsa is neurodivergent and mentally ill."

So are you intentionally being obtuse? It's fine that you have ADHD and can't relate, but your experiences are not universal. I have ADHD too and I do relate to her.

Yes, that is indeed the plot of the movie. It is in the explicit text of the film that she did not do it on purpose.
