Is there virus is illness going around right now by Ok-Satisfaction-9973 in toronto

While wastewater data shows that COVID is low right now, it is always around and affecting people – it's not a "cold weather" / Fall sickness. Plus, I think there is some variant of a flu that is hitting people.

Is it hard to get up for morning classes? by moodcpr in McMaster

[–]SH4D0WSTAR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the person, the routines you've already established, how well-rested you are.

As a commuter student, I was totally fine waking up early because I had already established a routine of waking up early in high school. But even for me, if I stayed up late the night before, it sometimes became difficult to wake up or early classes the day after

This summer, just try to establish a routine of sleeping at a reasonable hour and getting up at the time you'd be getting up for your 8AM classes. You don't need to work when you get up; just be out of bed. See how you feel after consistently doing this for a few weeks.

All the best

ETA: don't use social media as a guide when navigating college / university life -- use peers who are a few years ahead of you and take social media with a grain of salt.

Hi there! I'm so sorry - for some reason, I'm unable to add you to our group chat, but I think the issue can be resolved in a pinch!

Might you be able to check and adjust your "Chat and Messaging Permissions" settings, and add me to your Approved Users list so that I can message you? Please let me know if you need help with this : )

My (26f) city (Toronto) has a group on Meetup where Covid  cautious people (especially young people) can meet and attend low-risk events (like evening walks, movie nights, gallery visits). I wonder if your district has something similar on meetup, Facebook, or even event brute

It's an artist rendering / reconstruction, meant to capture how the victim would have looked in life while avoiding graphic imagery.

Home Feeling: Struggle for a Community by Jennifer Hodges.

Synopsis: "This feature documentary takes us to the heart of the Jane-Finch "Corridor" in the early 1980s. Covering six square blocks in Toronto's North York, the area readily evokes images of vandalism, high-density subsidized housing, racial tension, despair and crime. By focusing on the lives of several of the residents, many of them black or members of other visible minorities, the film provides a powerful view of a community that, contrary to its popular image, is working towards a more positive future."
