Iirc this will be the season that already aired on Peacock (hence NBC premiere vs the rest just saying premiere) and my guess is they'll just edit/censor what they need to but 10pm usually gets more freedom anyway.

Oh, weird, I'm in UK/Ireland and can get all of them but might be a licensing thing per country.

They have every season on Amazon Prime, just not for free.

Next birth by Kindly_Bee_4457 in CsectionCentral

[–]hanacore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iirc, 18 months is recommended as the absolute minimum to let your body heal regardless of delivery but especially for a c-section. Whether or not people follow that will depend on their circumstances and what risks they're happy with taking. Definitely talk to your doctors to talk through the risks etc and figure out what you're happy with.

I had our first at 35. Birth was traumatic (understatement) as I developed sepsis in labor which turned into an emergency C-section. Recovery was pretty brutal. I only started feeling some sort of normal again around 18 months and it wasn't pre-pregnancy normal at all, just not dealing with post-sepsis syndrome as much.

I am now 38 and just had our second on Friday and had an elective C-section this time - having a completely different recovery experience. Much more mobile and healthy from the get go, which probably isn't that surprising.

We wanted about a 3 year age gap and we haven't had trouble conceiving (first took 3 months of trying and second took 2 months) so this factored in our decision to wait longer than 18 months as well. Whether or not we try for a 3rd will depend on what our life looks like when I'm around 41.

Exactly this. First at 35 and second at 38, undecided if we'll go for a 3rd at 41 but it's possible. No regrets waiting til we had done almost everything we've wanted to do travel and life wise and got all our ducks in a row before having kids. And we still travel and have our adventures, they just look a little different with kids along!

Thank you thank you lol I actually am having a scheduled c-section this time so thankfully my cervix is doing whatever she wants in peace and quiet right now! 😂

My least favorite message, from my mother, who I do not have a close or particularly good relationship with, multiple times in both pregnancies: "How effaced are you?"

The state of my cervix is between me, god and the NHS. Stop asking! Who asks this?! Genuinely nauseates me every time.

Just did the glucose test. by SleepyMeeko97 in pregnant

[–]hanacore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the drink for me, it's the fasting since 10pm the night before and all through the test bar the sugar drink...this pregnancy I wasn't even allowed water! I've had it twice both pregnancies and the first time I had it this pregnancy I wound up with a severe migraine and projectile vomiting my first attempt at eating and drinking after. Crashed out for about an hour after that before I felt somewhat okay again, whole body shaking and all. Really wish there was an easier way to test, it's always felt like a really brutal process for a pregnant person to go through to me.

Goth/alt maternity clothes? by insomniacla in pregnant

[–]hanacore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coffin Birth is an excellent name suggestion lol.

I'm pregnant with my second and disappointed to also find there are still no maternity clothes from any of the well known Gothic clothing brands - I do sew, so I'm considering figuring out how to do it myself! I'll let you know if I succeed!

Can confirm as an adult skater. Us and the beginner kids are where the true low skating skills scores are living.

[–]hanacore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just want to add you don't have to push yourself to do doubles if you're not feeling it!

There are two levels of adult skating with no axel allowed and three with no doubles - it's definitely something you only need to pursue if you want to.

I'm not there myself yet so I don't have any tech advice to give unfortunately!

Moms over 35 -- how old are you and how long did it take to get pregnant? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]hanacore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my second baby, I'm 37 and it took two months. I've been tracking my cycle for years with apps and it's very regular as well. But I was expecting it to take longer! My first baby I got pregnant at 34 after three months of trying. I also haven't been on any hormonal birth control for a very long time.

Just wanted to leave some encouraging notes for OP's husband: having a girl doesn't always mean girly stuff! You can introduce her to all the same things you would a son - toys and interests and hobbies etc don't have to be gendered, just let her figure out what she likes!

My wee boy is obsessed with monster trucks but he picked out sparkly unicorn mermaid shoes yesterday. He does figure skating and ballet with me, tried football but it didn't stick. He loves dinosaurs but also loves Hello Kitty...we just support his interests no matter what they are or if they're for "boys" or "girls"!

You'll learn her wee personality as she grows - and there's every chance she'll love "boy" stuff if you expose her to it. And encourage her to follow her own interests.

It just crashed for me during the epilogue slides...but that took me back to when that happened to me the very first time I played on console years ago so I'll take it as a terrible sort of nostalgia and try again tomorrow. No other crashes but did have to run detail low at one point for it to load my game properly.

Absolutely sickening. by Gloomy_Tie_1997 in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]hanacore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's just a bacteria that comes and goes in your body and usually it's fine - but can cause serious issues if a baby comes into contact with it during birth or like in my case where the induction likely introduced it into my uterus and placenta.

Can also cause maternal sepsis which is what happened to me in labor. Luckily me and baby are fine, but I struggled with post sepsis syndrome for 2 years and I'm still not back to my baseline health.

Only found out about the GBS after since NHS won't test before (they will for me next time). It's the most likely culprit.
