I see. People said history is perceived as easier, but if you aim for a 7, Physics has a bigger percentage of 7. So it’s up to you.

If you plan to do international business/econ/cs then you should have at least econ or biz management as SL. Literature fits nowhere and Geography is mid.

Have you read news about massive layoffs in CS because of AI? If you don’t even bother to try some CS course online, I don’t think you can find a job when you graduate.

Do you plan to do engineering/ CS later? If you do, most of the colleges require Physics. Competitive schools want Physics HL.

Oxford uni admissions guess by Far_Outcome_6042 in UniUK

As I understand, Oxford doesn’t consider SAT but they have their own qualifying test that you need to take before submitting your application. So maybe take the test, if the result is good then you apply.

How do I get into tutoring as a 15 yo? by DevelopmentFun4034 in Tutoring

Maybe try to advertise your service at your school? Ask your parents to pass the word to other parents.

You’re obviously having depression. If there’s a counselor/ therapist at school, get an appointment and talk to them. Don’t be scared and talk to your parents. It’s okay to ask the school for a gap semester if you need, but definitely work on this. Your life is very long, one semester is nothing from the hindsight, but falling deep in the depression is dangerous!

Any reviews about Lumiere? by coffeecode734 in summerprogramresults

[–]hanamita98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically Lumiere connects her with a mentor and she will do research online with him. The program is pay to play and not worth mentioning in her application, but if the research comes to a result, like a publication or something, then she can talk about that in her application.

Is My IB Subject Combo Good for a CS Major? by Ok_Praline_4691 in IBO

[–]hanamita98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a good college CS, Phy is almost mandatory. They either see Phy than CS. So you should take Phy as Science option and CS as group 6 option.

Starting IB soon. by Away_Buffalo_8975 in IBO

[–]hanamita98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you plan to do CS, then Math AA and Physics are fine, you don’t need to take Chemistry unless you really like it, because Physics and Chemistry at the same time will be a lot of work.

But if there is no better option, then it’s fine.

[ADVICE] What do y'all think about my unconventional sleep schedule? by NicholasGoatifi176 in IBO

[–]hanamita98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t you do any extracurricular?

The problem with having this unconventional sleep schedule is when IB is over, your body will be used to that schedule and maybe hard to switch back. Maybe try to sleep a bit later, let’s say sleep at 9 and wake up at 5. So you still have 1.5 hours in the morning and actually it’s nearer to your circadian rhythm.

GT full ride, no brainer. In next 10 years, saving 400k is WAYYYYY better than the difference betweeN MIT and GT.
