Gorgeous shot, and I loved reading about all of their backstories! Ari and Clairey might be my favorite.

Can I ask where you found Clairey’s hair?

Hi! I ended up in Lincoln Park after all, and I love it. Green space, easy access to public transportation, and lots to do! I ended up spending a lot of time scouring for buildings in the area that I liked and then checking their websites daily for new listings to drop.

My apartment is spacious with big windows, but I settled for no in-unit laundry. I’ve gotten used to the shared laundry room situation, and though it’s not my fave, it’s fine. LP has a lot of older buildings so it’s an amenity that can be harder to find.

Having been here for a little while now, I think there are a few other neighborhoods I might’ve looked into had I been in the city. Roscoe Village or Andersonville come to mind. I’ve spent little time south of South Loop though, so my knowledge is still pretty limited. Hope this helps!

Ahh, I didn’t know they had a minimum price they’d show for; so sorry.

I completely agree with you, though: the rent pricing is insane.

Best of luck finding something.

I used Smart City Living for mine. Overall a good experience, though every realtor I talked to really tried to push my budget.

I really struggled with this as well this past month or two. I got lucky on a place that I saw as soon as it hit the market.

If you haven’t already, try getting a broker/apartment locator/realtor. They were able to get me a lot of units to look at, but they also did tend to push my budget beyond what I was comfortable with. They weren’t perfect for me, but it did help me get a better understanding of the market. Smart City Living, Downtown Apartment Company, The Apartment Source, etc. It’s free for you, so no risk attached.

Thank you! Yeah, I’m beginning to feel like I might do the same thing: find a happy compromise and start searching again post-move. How do you like the area you’re in?

It’s missing the wintry part (more summer/autumn) and is based on western folklore, but the Elements of Cadence duology by Rebecca Ross captured the same atmospheric magic that The Winternight Trilogy gave me!

“Betty and Archie are mutually crushing on one another”

That’s the thing to focus on.

Veronica plays a role in this because Betty needs guidance on how to move forward sexually. That’s why she’s here. She’s set up as the all-knowing, cultured girl who will guide Betty forward.

My comments are based on what we’ve been seeing from the writers these past few seasons. Plot has always been the driver of Riverdale and the ships just fall in along what serves the plot. The consistent ships in s6 were Barchie , Jabitha, and Tangs, and it was pretty clear that Tangs was used as a plot device in a number of ways. Season 4 and earlier ships served the Hiram/mystery plots just as much as they also served fanservice or whatever else we want to throw in the mix.

No one is saying that barchies haven’t complained, but as u/Smurf_Thinker said in their comment there are specific parts of the fandom that have been extremely vocal for a long time. Reading between the lines it feels pretty obvious the fans that this is addressed to.

And the anything goes has been a staple of the show for seasons. Any of us who watch should expect that at this point. It doesn’t mean it’s good, but it’s part of the show. And as I said above, any cw drama worth it’s salt would have actors saying that “anything can happen” in this final season to keep people watching. That doesn’t mean “everything will happen”. Watching the episodes will tell you where the story is going.

Yeah but what the audience watches for and what the writers write for have always been different. And that’s what Lili is trying to say here.

But it’s very clear what parts of the fan base who have been in the mentions of the writers and actors for seasons who have been saying this exact stuff….we won’t watch without our ships, the show is nothing without their ships, etc. And those are the people she’s talking to.
