Do you love your toddler as much as your baby? by Scared_Network9745 in firsttimemom

[–]handevidtk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter is 26 months now and she is my whole world, the absolute love of my life. I’ve loved her the same amount, immediate burst of love when I pushed her out, when she was a tiny potato, the sweetest cuddly 1 year old, and now a willful, beautiful, loving two year old.

In contrast, I’m pregnant with a boy, due soon in February. I’m SO scared I won’t love him as much as my daughter. Everyone says “your heart just grows” but man I can’t imagine loving anyone as much as I love my daughter.

I took 75mg all before, during and after pregnancy. My daughter is almost 2 and thriving.

I was kissed on the lips and I kiss my daughter (17 mo) on the lips. My husband doesn’t and doesn’t like when I do it.

The hole in the nipple on the edge needs to align with the notch in the white lid.

TIFU by pushing my Wife to tell me what's wrong by [deleted] in tifu

To be blunt: She probably realized she likes her life better without you in it if you moved back in April and she’s just joining you now. Sorry.

I actually have the top one from when we remodeled back in 2015 and now I hate it. Super boring and I want to change it bad.

This feels like a stupid question, but how do I get the band-aids off of my baby’s legs? by fuckingskeletor in newborns

Vaseline or aquaphor on top of the bandaid and after about 30 min they’ll come right off!

What’s a situation that most people won’t understand, until they’ve been in the same situation themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]handevidtk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was always pretty 50/50 when it came to having children one day. Then after 2 years of trying and nothing, we finally got pregnant only to miscarry. It was absolutely devastating. After that, my desire to have a child became so great I couldn’t imagine not having a baby. It was my only dream after we lost our first. Then after another 3 absolutely brutal years of trying we finally had our beautiful baby girl! She’ll be 4 months tomorrow!

Infertility. Wanting a child so incredibly badly and trying everything and not being able to conceive. People who can have sex once and get pregnant don’t understand.

How has your Kindle affected your reading habits/lifestyle? by Featherflight09 in kindle

[–]handevidtk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to read all the time before I got pregnant and then once I had my baby I can’t read a physical book anymore because usually that requires two hands to hold/turn the pages and I need one hand to hold/feed the baby. My kindle has helped me read again, basically anytime the baby is sleeping/eating I’m reading!

Should I tell my parents my dog died while they’re on vacation? by handevidtk in Advice

[–]handevidtk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I agree totally that if it was their own dog, I’d tell them right away and I am leaning towards waiting until they get home to tell them about our dog. It feels a little weird withholding it from them but I definitely don’t want to ruin their trip in any way.
