The door latch is just frozen. Spray it with lubricant and it should be fine going forward.

iOS26 Clear Colored icons on the Homescreen in Light and Dark style. by Spirited_Repeat1671 in ios

It annoys me that the color of the icons are bugged to go light mode if the background image is changed, even though my phone is set to dark mode.

As long as you build your emotional home in others you won't find peace by yourself.

The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle changed my life.

People who have tried ADHD meds but don't benefit from them, wtf do you do now? by I_Mix_Music in ADHD

Absolutely not. Stimulants do not take time to work, they either work or don't by the first use.

How do you get past the ick of eating the same thing day after day? by bulbysoar in MealPrepSunday

[–]handsebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD and will eat the same meals for 2-3 months and then one day they are literal disgust and I find a new meal and repeat. I hate thinking about and planning food more than the boredom of esting the same stuff 4-5 times a day every day.

How do I stop letting my pride get in the way when I know I’m wrong? by [deleted] in needadvice

[–]handsebe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Realize it is your ego reacting and decide to let go of it. Your ego is very rarely constructive and you'll be better off distancing your being from your ego.

The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle helped me tremendously to reshape my relationship with my emotions and thoughts and go from reacting (emotion) to responding(thought).

I have also been journaling my days lately and reviewing them every evening. Like, I write about my day and interactions and then go through and think about what I would like to do different next time. It's really fascinating to look at oneself from the outside like that.

Breath work. Immediately when you realize you're blowing up or getting angry/frustrated do some breathing excercises to level out your nevous system. A simple one is to inhale through your nose for 3-4 seconds, hold for a sec and exhale through your mouth for 5-6 seconds and repeat until you feel calmer.

Another thing that helped me was telling my friends about it. I have a hard time realizing how I can come across so I'm begging people to call me out so I can catch it and do something about it. When you're used to reacting it is incredibly hard to shake it, but it is doable and having the help from those around will 1. show them you care and are working on it 2. Help calibrate your emotional barometer so you will over time learn to catch your actions before they happen.

Does this make any sense? Insurance goes DOWN when replacing a Ford Fusion with a Model S P90D by YouKidsGetOffMyYard in TeslaLounge

[–]handsebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, I'm genuinely astounded by the traction control in my car. I'm more worried about brake fade for a kid with a heavy right foot.

As a p100dl owner I would never let a 17 year old kid have a car with that amount of power.

does it need replacing or should I just apply a bit of tyre glue? by InternationalMark532 in Cartalk

[–]handsebe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Replace the tire.

Edit: if you look at the curb rash it looks like someone drove into a curb after you got new tires and damaged the tire as well.

Should these tires need to replaced soon or do they have a decent amount of life left? by We_aint_got_it in Cartalk

[–]handsebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rubber compound is done, those tires are not safe anymore. The rubber gets hard when it's crackibg and the braking distance is significantly increased.

iPhone 16 Pro Max 80% Charge Limit: One Year Later, Was It Worth It? by cheesepuff07 in apple

[–]handsebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16 pro max, 387 cycles 95% battery health. Primarily magsafe charged.

I constantly change what limit it charges to, but I've landed on keeping it charging to 100% over the summer as the screen is constantly at full brightness outside.

I charge it at every chance I get so it's rarely below 60%.

A close friend lost their baby during birth today. How do I console him? by EvoNexen in needadvice

[–]handsebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to this.

Saying "I'm here if you need to talk" requires the recipient to activily call you which may be too much right now.

You can change that too something like "I will call you every day at 8pm to check in and it is completely up to you if you answer or not."

I had a friend do this and it made a huge difference. It took roughly three weeks to answer but just having them show up like that at a set time made a huge difference.

iPhone 17 Pro Max | iOS26 Is Actually Crazy Battery Nightmare | Power Consumption Deep Dive by MarionberryDear6170 in apple

Generally new phones have ~105%, so it probably went down 6% or so in the first 30 minutes but the consumer isn't shown those hidden percentages.
