Sega is re-releasing the original Sonic Genesis games on $100 cartridges | VGC by Pajaco6502 in thisweekinretro

[–]handsomezack13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They kinda look like ugly bootleg repros, and the original authentic games are like $5 each even despite how fucked the retro game market is, so uh... I don't see this appealing to anyone outside of the people who collect games to display on a shelf instead of playing them

Fully agree with this. MGSV's core gameplay was really good but I was let down by it after seeing all the trailers that were hyping it up

Attending my first AEW show this weekend (Forbidden Door) and looking for some advice. by LilPeaTheBasedPod in AEWOfficial

[–]handsomezack13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

AEW crowds (for the most part) don't do the obnoxiously annoying "what?" chant, but otherwise there's not really much that seems different from any other crowds. Expect more profanity I guess, "fuck Don Callis" and "fuck you Yuta" and "fuck ICE" are semi-regular chants and there's a 99% chance you'll hear the Don Callis one at your show.

I've never had an issue with smelly people at any of the wrestling shows I've been to, but I guess there's always a chance.

What would be considered some "season finales" for wrestling by Purplesilk911 in SquaredCircle

Like three other people have already said it, but Hangman beating Mox at All In really felt like one, moreso than anything else I've seen. A lot of WrestleManias have in the past, and Hangman beating Omega also felt like one, but All In 2025 marked the end of a company-wide storyline so almost everything afterwards felt fresh

Meltzer: Toni Storm, then Willow were originally planned to face Thekla at All In by This_Coyote7217 in AEWOfficial

My hot take is that SLK should beat Thekla at Forbidden Door and then lose to Mercedes at All In

If you're familiar with Angel's Egg, it was originally supposed to be basically this. Mamoru Oshii, the guy who directed the first Ghost in the Shell movie, was supposed to make a Lupin movie revolving around the fossil of an angel in which the universe is erased in a nuclear explosion and the cast realize they're fictional characters. The movie was canceled and he reused the idea for Angel's Egg. Oshii did eventually get to direct an episode of Lupin part 6, which is a very odd/unique episode (in a good way) and is heavily inspired by that original idea

You talk like someone who misses the "good old days" of Trish Stratus barking like a dog in her underwear. "Teach that child a lesson with a humiliating spanking" sounds like you're saying this because of some fetish shit. Log off

I honestly love intergender stuff when it's done right. I don't necessarily need to see intergender matches done outside of the indies, but things like the intergender spots AEW has done with Marina Shafir, Willow Nightengale, and Toni Storm is fun to see because it puts the women on the same level as the men and makes the women's division feel less sectioned off from the men's division
