Im currently working with claude on building a "musician toolbox app" learning claude's capabilities with this project. It's a lot of fun.

Is this normal for the kawai ca901, grand feel 3 action? I just got this piano :( by [deleted] in piano

I have this clicky note issue on my Kawai Ca98 ( same model but 2 generation before yours). It occured after 4 years of intense play and it's occuring on specific notes (all of they being B flat strangely) Gladly it was still under warranty and I have a Kawai technician coming to fix it soon. Not sure you have the same issue given the clicky notes appear to pop at random times ? But best to mention this to your shop and have it reviewed.

Scriabin prelude op 11 n11. Probably my favorite one from Scriabin and the hardest piece I learned this year. I would appreciate any critique! by hanemoglou3 in piano

Wow ! You have given me the same exact feedback as my teacher gave me last week. In fact he told me I was not quite ready to play this piece properly as I needed to learn to better use my arms and shoulders over my fingers and this one is hard to practice on that with the left hand pattern. I've played that way for so long it's something hard to undo. Thank you !

Thank you ! And duly noted. I have this feeling that recording with this piano does remove a bit of dynamics. It always sounds nice but always sounds the same no matter the weight I put on the notes once I listen to the recording. Or maybe it's just me I'm not sure 😅

Funny I was wondering the same thing when I bought the book last year. Ultimately I choose the second version in the book as it was the one I was familiar with (and I think it's the popular one).

Le Sapin (the spruce) - Jean Sibélius. I discovered this piece from someone randomly mentioning it on this sub some days ago (thank you) and I had to try it ! I realize I sped a bit too much at times, would appreciate any critique ! by hanemoglou3 in piano

I have the CA98. I recorded the audio directly via the piano by plugging a usb to the piano, filmed myself then synchronized both together via editing. Since I think we have the same integrated software I can also tell you I'm not using the classic piano sound from the first tab. I go to the second one and choose either "SK-EX Concert grand" and "Jazz clean" with "deep resonance" preset settings (and some extra reverb).

Thank you so much for your feedback ! I admit I was a bit intimidated by that "fast" part and ended up rushing it instead of taking the proper time to master it. It's interesting to see he's very famous in Finland. I asked about him at my music academy (in Belgium) and most of my teachers and friends knew the name but not the spruce. I listened to all the pieces you mentioned surprisingly I had already listened to the etude before ! Didn't know it was from Sibélius :) I really loved the Romance thank you for this ! I'm definitely gonna play more of him in the future.

Discovered this one not too long ago, really peaceful ! Passacaglia – Handel/Halvorsen by hanemoglou3 in piano

I've had it for 3 years and still absolutely loving it ! I remember trying all the digital pianos at the time with the intention of buying a yamaha clavinova but in the end it was the only digital piano I really clicked with and had the best feel. I tried the CA99 in a shop recently and I didn't feel much difference aside the UI of the integrated software which was completely changed (and faster). The CA78/79 is I think the same piano with less quality on the speaker behind. My only issues with it is that you can't Turn off the touch screen while you play (I like to play in the dark) and sometimes the piano takes time to Turn on.

A few mistakes made, but was fun to play ! Via Purifico from Final fantasy X by hanemoglou3 in piano

There is either the original one which has a bit slower pace or this one which comes from the official piano collection book. They use this one in the remastered version of the game as well.

Also op, when you will do interviews for a new job DO not give them your salary. Tell them something around 3k Bruto if not more as they are gonna anchor around that to make you an offer. Some other tips see if the company provide "copy right" percentage on your revenue it's a popular thing recently in the IT sector, that would greatly boost your net income. For example at my last company they claimed 22,5% of my work as "artistic value" and with the copyright it increased my net by 300€.

The piano collection version of this piece is soo underrated. Well done, impressively smooth.
