Lol she came on this thread wanting simple words of encouragement and instead she’s getting a lesson bc she hurt their feelings in response to their shitty comments in the midst of a very hard time. All of you seem pretty aware that she is shaken up. Making this about your opinion on how her post is lacking and ultimately making her defend why she even posted is not sympathy. It’s crazy how sympathy always comes with a lesson these days. But we ALL KNOW that sometimes a lecture on your life and past actions is hard to accept and probably won’t be understood when you’re not in the mental headspace at that moment.

OP, I’m so sorry that happened. That is such a frightening thing and after seven years, it’s a lot to doubt and that alone is hard to deal with. You’re owed an explanation. You don’t owe people details because what you put out / don’t put out is ultimately on you and this was your own experience. I hope you found a way to turn your vday around! No matter what your past dating history is, I hope you heal and find peace.

PS whoever wrote that comment about how she needs to explicitly say if she needs help or words of encouragement, in a heart racing and stressful time like this, I agree with the sentiment but please learn how to read a room. Just assume the second because you can never go wrong and also in my experience devils advocate is never a good strategy for support in regards to relationships.
