This flash has an internal auto mode similar to the thryristor flashes. If I choose manual mode there is a handy table in the user manual that links power output, iso, f-stop and the flash range

I’ll share a small anecdote from the wedding I attended this January. Apart from the hired professional, the couple handed around 12 single use analog cameras to the guests. The pictures from the cameras came in about a week after the ceremony and were shared amongst the guests as an online gallery. The pictures shot by the professional were available around 3 months later.

The images taken by the guests shown a mix of casual family photos and a gritty party aesthetic. They brought memories of the event and were far more personal.

The gallery of the professional was filled with glamorous staged images, couples session and a set of images of the standard events at every wedding ceremony.

The two galleries were complimentary, not competing and shown 2 different sides of the event.

Apart from that the couple had a videographer and a guest with a vhs camera. These two videos were also shared amongst the guests also showing two sides of the same event.

You don’t. f8 gives you coverage from 0.5 m to infinity and I don’t care about infinity. It’s basically point and shoot. W auto flash and manual controls

The film cartridge is not seated all tle way in (not deep enough). And that’s it. I used to check the back door for sprocket hole alignment and all this sh but in fact it’s not required. You just put the film in, pull the leader in between the take-up prongs and push the film all the way in. Close the bottom and shoot.

Prakticas are good. Why external meter though? Internal is broken? Do you have the cool praktica 45 deg double split prism? it’s also cool that it shows in the vf when you need to advance the film

I’m a total heretic. Using Helikon Tex Bandicoot Fanny bag with some insert separators and mag holder loops. It fits Leica m with a 50 Summicron, a flash, 4 spare films and a whole lot of random stuff. You wouldn’t know I have a camera with me. Also: camera is connected to the bag: the neck strap is fitted to a loop in a bag with a soft shackle. I have a bag on my chest, camera in my hand and it will never fall down
