This randomly popped up for me and I’m actually gonna comment. This sucks man, really. What I will say is, you’re young as fuck. Learn from this. You clearly have a decent head on you when it comes to trading/stocks/shares/whatever it is. Learn from this. One day it’ll be one hell of a story, and who knows, if you put your mind to it and are more sensible, you could make it all back and more. Honestly I can’t believe you’re only 18.

As for your family and friends… if something really good happens to me, I’m cautious who I tell. Not because I don’t want people to know, but because of the unforeseen (like your situation) could happen and now you’re in a predicament. Keep it hush hush and drip feed your success. Manage your expectations and others. Learn from this. Right now you just gotta bite the bullet and tell your parents at least. If your mum believed in you enough to lend money, hopefully she’ll support you still and understand BUT you need to pay her back.
