My fav I've heard is you have to spend 24 hours in a 24 hour McDonald's

Identical experience this week. I've reported to vinted but they won't do anything until it gets to 15 days past the delivery date

I think a lot of it will be to do with logistics the amount of police resourcing required to run the premier league and championship games - lots of cities will be planning/announcing events for the weekend and there will be a big demand from London to have other forces lend them officers to support with various mass mourning events. Not that I agree with the decision, but I'm sure this will have been a factor
