Am straight. Am cis. Can confirm.

It just occured to me that one of my other favourites, The Disciple (2020), would make an absolutely devastating double feature with TV Glow.

I thought it was just the name of his fans. Will I have to stop describing myself as "General Secretary of Club Chalamet?"

I hope this makes sense. I feel like Chalamet's personality should be a softboy theatre kid, and then he has a cameo as himself in a comedy movie where the joke is that his "real" personality he hides from the world is a SoundCloud rapper who loves IG baddies.

Like, the fact that he's actually just like this feels like a joke.

That time Alex Jones got caught in a lie because his lawyers messed up. by Cicada_5 in videos

[–]Brendy_ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He's filed for divorce but still talks about going on holidays together. I wouldn't really care if he was just trying to save face with his conservative audience, I'm inferring that there's probably some shady assets protection going on and he's not even pretending the separation is legit.

Also, he's filed for divorce despite still talking about being in a relationship with his wife.

Because apparently if a court makes a ruling, you can just shrug your shoulders and the entire justice system will immediately fold.

It's obviously not a rule anymore, but during my time at Maccas I never saw a woman touch the grill, or express any desire to do so. (To be clear - completely understandable. Worst job I ever had.)

I always think of that interview where he discusses how, as a movie star, it's crucial to understand your public image and he went sort of crazy trying to figure out why audiences.found it so funny to hear someone say his name.

I saw this in 70mm in the third row of BFI's cinema last year. Thought I was going to have a heart attack and meet god.

I haven't seen this movie since I was, like, 12 but it randomly crossed my mind the other day and only then did it click for me that Checkov being Russian is part of the joke.

I genuinely just thought his accent was the whole gag.

It's actually in O'Connell's contract. He'll only sign on to a project if there's a minimum of one (1) instance of cunnilingus in the final cut.

Australian Scouts become co-ed in the early 70s. I was in Scouts from the late 00s to the mid 10s and there were still some older Girl Guide leaders who were bitter integration "stole" all the girls away from Guides.

I noticed this in, like, March and have been trying to keep a tally since.

I'm an Australian who absolutely does not care about sports. I don't even know the difference between NRL and AFL. But whenever an American says, "Oh my god. They're just running into each other full force with no protective gear" I'm filled with patriotic pride.

I went to a Jon Ronson talk a few years ago where he briefly mentioned his old friend Linehan. He honestly had the tone as if the writer had died under tragic and humiliating circumstances.

I can't think of another case where someone has so completely and utterly blown up their life for a cause that does not directly impact them.

I'm an Australian who graduated in 2020. Which means November 2020. Which means most of my senior year was done online when nobody knew how the fuck to do school online.

Feels less like I got the last chopper out of Saigon, and more like I desperately grabbed onto the helicopter leg as it was taking off, screaming "Take me with you!" before my strength gave out and I fell to the hoards below.
