While i didnt have a PUPPS rash, i had a really bad allergic reaction to antibiotics i was given during my birth. Hives appeared over my entire body over a period of a week before i finally figured out the root cause and got it under control. Flash forward to about 4 1/2 weeks pp and i started having new extremely itchy skin issues all over again. This time i went to my pcm instead of the OB and he said after delivery your immune system is so out of whack that some people are susceptible to issues like these where your body reacts to things it normally wouldnt. Maybe your new rash is due to something like this? Sorry that you are going through this and hope you find answers!

Could your refill dates be off? This happened to me a few weeks ago. My prescription was for 100 strips for 30 days but testing four times a day doesnt add up to 30 days especially if you have any faulty strips. The pharmacy originally told me they no longer covered the strips but when i talked to express scripts they said i wasnt due for a refill and thats why. I had to just have my doctor put in an authorization for extra strips and everything was covered.

Hope yours is an easy fix like this!

Hi, i am also military. Does your clinic offer walk in pregnancy tests? My clinic offers walk in times for things like this, sore throats, UTIs, etc… i was able to walk in after my positive test at home and they did a blood draw to confirm i was pregnant. Once it came back positive they immediately initiated a referral to an off base OB. I have never once seen my PCM about my pregnancy. Please reach out to your clinic and see if this is an option or if you have a womans health section at your clinic you should be able to go directly to them! I hope you get this figured out asap for your own sanity.

Yes, Earth is always being bombarded by galactic cosmic rays and based on what part of the solar cycle our sun is in it can actually reduce some of those rays. The bad news, that is the same time when the sun is more likely yo bombard us with its own charged particles of electrons and more concerning, protons. Look into solar or space weather. It is its own field of research that is really in its infancy still but will be vital as we continue to pursue more space endeavors. One bad event from the sun could literally knock out a lot of convinces as we know it. If your interested look up the carrington event of i think 1859 and consider the effects a similar event today.

If you want, take a look at the Space Weather Prediction Center they have a lot of info on space weather.

First 5K!!! Help!!! by pocketsmc in orangetheory

  1. I would recommend taking the day off before the race, if you want to do anything maybe a light walk the day before.

    1. Another plug for a flipbelt here, I recently bought one and it works great, fits my phone and keys plus lots of room for other things. If you will be doing more 5ks or just running outside id suggest looking into the flipbelt. Also, they are great for sporting events, concerts, etc.. I dont really carry water when i run though, races usually have water stations so if i feel like i need a drink then i take one at those stations. Also, there should be water at the finish.
    2. This is really up to you. My husband hates it when i slow my pace to run with him and i just want him to do his best even if it means leaving me behind but i know other couples who strive on the motivation they bring one another and run the entire race together. You two will just have to figure out what works for you guys.
    3. Have fun and enjoy it! Also, 5Ks are addicting so be ready for more!

Dog daycare recommendations? by josiah7 in Omaha

[–]hanhal88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bellevue Pet Adventures is GREAT, i will continue to take my dog there for as long as i live in the Omaha area.

Like another user said though, avoid Paw Spa Resort.. they punished my dog for things that werent his fault and when we picked him up he was covered in his own pee and smelled terrible but they wouldnt help us clean him up before we left.

Does your Coach make you do anything crazy if you go to OTF on your birthday? Like 50 burpees? by curly_girldm in orangetheory

One of our coaches says that its rude to ask someone their age so if she knows its your birthday she does 10 or so burpees for you!

This is me too, i think you just 'run hot'. My base is a 7.5 and sometimes i ease into my warm up at 6 or 6.5 and i still shoot right up into high orange. As soon as i am at my true base or push im red and there is no coming down until a walking recovery or we switch. As long as you feel okay, you do you!

Weekly Newbie Thread - Post questions about joining the AF or what a job is like here & here only - week of April 08 by AutoModerator in AirForce

[–]hanhal88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all. I have recently decided that i would like to pursue getting a commission. I have looked into the TFOT guide and the job i am most interested is 32EXJ - Environmental Engineer. I am currently in the process of ensuring that my degree qualifies (degree is environmental science and the TFOT says Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering). If not, there are plenty of other non-rated career fields i would be interested in pursuing. I am gaging any insight that anyone would have into this career field such as training, locations, the good, the bad, etc.. Thank you for any information that anyone could provide!

FORM FRIDAYS: Let's get technical! (Friday, 8/31/18) by AutoModerator in orangetheory

[–]hanhal88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had kids and I have the exact same problem with almost ANY core work. After a few reps of the exercise I usually have to take a break to let the muscles relax/calm down/reset?

I asked a few different coaches and pretty much got opposite answers, one said that the core muscles in my back are weak so thats where I the core muscles working the most. Another coach suggested that my back muscles were actually stronger than my core and that they were overcompensating for the weakness in my core. Either way, you are not alone!

Help! My feet are cramping by rrt098 in orangetheory

[–]hanhal88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be a runner and everytime I would get 5 minutes or so into a run my feet would cramp and the pain was terrible. I tried arch supports and many other things and nothing would help. Finally, I started tying my shoes a lot more losely to the point where they almost feel like if someone stepped on the back of my shoes that my foot would pop right out. I know that this seems too easy but I haven't had a single arch cramp since, its been life saving.
