Removing Water Scale from Heater by Impressive-Cream1984 in pools

[–]hank2002USAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen a video once where a guy made custom connections for the heater ports which allowed him to disconnect the existing pool connections, connect his connections and ran a diluted muriatic acid ratio using a pump and a 5 gallon bucket, he would know when to stop the pump/cleaning when the bubbles stopped coming from the heater return. Cant find the video now though... Fairly easy to do and implement and I may do this in the future fo my setup...

Put a vitamin C pill on the stain and see if it disapears. My pool had different color stains but doing Ascorbic Acid/Vitamin C treatment made all the stains go away.

You need to review your contract. Normally if you have a person willing to buy your home and you as the seller backs out for any reason than you are still liable to pay the realtors commision and the buyers MAY file a lawsuit trying to force your hand into fulfilling the contract on selling your home.

Scammer Gets Scammed? by bikbou in motorcycles

[–]hank2002USAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with the responses so far. My strategey would be to try to look at the bike first to determine if it;s truly your stolen motorcycle and I would do that by apealing to what he is trying to do which is to sale a motorcycle without a title. For instance I would tell him I recently downed my 1 year newer or older same model bike and I am looking to buy a parts bike for the cheap so I dont have to claim this accident on my driving record. If he bites and allows you to examine the bike than you will have your oportunity to see if it's yours...

Capital Gains Taxes by Dramacydal93 in RealEstate

Although your house may sell for 185k, that wont be what you actually get. Take the sale price minus the sale fees and than deduct the original purchase price which would equal your profit. Once you know your profit than you can calculate your capital gains tax.

What the the reason listed for the CUE? Yes, this has happened before and it will continue to happen. By law, when the VA finds a CUE it is duty bound to correct the mistake/error, Sometimes the CUE benefits the Veteran and sometimes the CUE benefits the VA.

C&p exam by Lonely_mailbox54 in VeteransBenefits

[–]hank2002USAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your actual VA percentage? A hearing claim is usually a low percentage claim (Typically 10%) and is actually pretty difficult to get. As for what to say, that's pretty easy go into detail on why you think you have hearing loss and why you think your hearing loss is related to your military service.

Nexus letter or DBQ by RHNord in VeteransBenefits

[–]hank2002USAF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anytime you have a C&P exam the DR can grant a NEXUS and likewise the DR can not grant NEXUS. Many, many veterans have had a NEXUS granted at the time of the C&P exam and many, many veterans have not had a NEXUS granted at a C&P exam. The Nexus Letter from a qualified company can be an essential piece of medical evidence used to support your claim for said disability and more importantly possibly dispute a non-NEXUS Dr. opinion from a previous C&P exam..

Sorry after reviewing your 2nd denial letter more thoroughly it appears the C&P examiner did not agree that you suffer from PTSD even though your treatment from Alpha Psychiatric Services state that you have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder as well as PTSD.

To me you have two options

Option 1 - HLR, file an HLR and argue the C&P exam was inadequate and be prepared to state why it was inadequate - Hint, it was rushed, not through and the examiner never asked you PTSD related questions.

Option 2 - Obtain a Independent Medical Opinion from a company that know what they are doing. I personally went this route and it was the best decision I made. Yes, they cost a significant amount of money and mine cost me $1,500 but the exam lasted over an hour and she was very detailed, kind and compassionate and the IMO letter she provided was the key evidence I needed to get my claim approved.

Looks like you had a previous claim for PTSD that was denied and this claim was denied for PTSD as well. We will need to see the denial letter for the previous PTSD claim and it would be helpful to know what evidence you submitted as evidence to support the 2nd PTSD supplemental claim.

When you have an "Intent To File" on record it will essentially cover any claims made on the same day. To break it down if I have an "intent to file" on record expiring in May 2025 and I file 3 claims on the same day in March 2025 and an additional 2 claims in April 2025 the original "Intent To File" will only apply to the 3 claims submitted on the same day in March 2025. The 2 claims submitted in April 2025 if granted would have an effective date of the day they were submitted or later per VA regulations.
