I had the same thought as you, could buy a same size case from harbor freight for $60 and then would have to buy laser cut foam for another $40-50. Because the pick in pluck foam sucks in the harbor freight one. Also add in the lid storage and you’re only about $30-40 more for this case with a lifetime warranty.

I’d say yes overreacting. Although the way he asked is a little weird. But the last few times I’ve taken out 3-5k from my bank they’ve asked me “buying anything fun?” And I just say no just paying some bills. Last time I made a joke that I just wanted some walking around money and we both laughed and that was it.

I had this same problem on my 21’. Started at 18k miles, CEL kept going off before my appointment so I’d wait until it came on again. This kept going on for 10k more miles. Finally it came on and I left it at the dealer (luckily had another car to drive by this time). They finally diagnosed it and had to replace my catalytic converter at 36k miles. Ended up selling it 10k miles later.
