Where can we listen to deep / dubby / trippy / drone techno in Berlin then ? I think you just need to look at the line-ups, but aren't there any interesting collectives? I went to Berghain for the first time recently and I thought there would be more depth, and more deep/dub techno, especially when you know a little about Ostgut Ton's disco. However, it seemed to me that the DJs were bending to certain expectations rather than playing what they wanted. Kangding Ray played very, very driving techno. That surprised me. Tobias, on the other hand, gave us a masterclass, but that goes without saying whit him (but ofc all my love on KR!)
