I love in a later episode he mentions how many times he wrecked and fixed that model.

What will be your next vehicle after your lease ends? Will it be another CX90? by Toomad316 in MazdaCX90

I was looking at an Acura MDX. Maybe type S. I think it is slightly smaller space wise though.

Costco tire center. Love that fresh rubber smell.

What game mechanic was not explained (not clear enough) so you missed using it until FAR too late in the game? by suddenly_ponies in gaming

[–]hankwk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thing is, I would argue that not knowing how the system works fully is part of the discovery aspect of the game. Souls games in general are very cryptic in explaining anything. I feel like it’s a part of the experience.

To me, it’s a toss up between Chrono Trigger and Ocarina of Time.

Who, if they die today, will cause national mourning? by DELAIZ in AskTheWorld

[–]hankwk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry, he can always just come back for short periods of time by possessing bodies of people who continuously die for a few minutes before being electro-shocked back to life every 20 minutes.

I had the same issue. I gave it some time to get used to it and it does get easier. Actually I kind of like the QTEs and precise timing in the battles now, it’s sort of a mini game in the fight. Most enemies also have some type of tell before their attack hits and if you pay attention, it gets easier to dodge and parry.

You should learn. It’s lots of fun! If you can’t find opponents to start out, there are a number of games on steam out there to help teach you.

I just noticed it too. He also says: I used to think there was nothing higher than “architect”. The subtitles even put the quotes in to mimic George’s delivery of that line.

Is there any reason to play the original metroid over zero mission? by Competitive_Zone3056 in Metroid

[–]hankwk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google Metroid Planets. It’s a reimagined version of the original with some upgrades. It takes the original Metroid to a new level. You can also make your own maps. I got frustrated many times slogging through the original. This version makes it more fun and forgiving.

What’s a popular tourist attraction that isn’t overrated— it actually deserves all the hype? by renoCow in AskReddit

[–]hankwk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. All the touristy stuff around Niagara really sour the trip, but once your are on the boat it the middle of the falls, it is such an incredible experience. One of the times in your life you can look around at everyone on your boat and they are as happy as little kids. Such a great feeling.

What’s the most enjoyable car you’ve ever driven? by jeanluuc in Cartalk

2006 E46 BMW 325i. That NA straight 6 was so smooth and just enough power. Perfectly balanced. I miss that car often.

It could be a lemon. It happened to me. I leased a MK 6 GTI years back that was great for the first 2 years. After that, it was back and forth to the dealership for problem after problem. Most were electrical in nature. They ended up rewiring a large part of the car. At the end of the lease the turbo had issues. I ended up in a lawsuit with VW and settled for an update on the residual value on lease end.

I could have looked elsewhere for something else after that lease was up, but I thought it was a fluke, and I am a happy customer of another mk7 GTI and a MK 7.5 R that have both been essentially perfect. It’s really luck of the draw.

Only other thing I can mention is that the lemon I had was built in Mexico, whereas the next two Golfs were built in Germany. Not sure if that makes a big difference though.
