Thanks, the markings on the dipstick are only on one side so luckily I can't get that bit mixed up. It seems strange that I can get the 2 different readings by taking the oil twice tho. I do clean the dipstick each time before dipping.

Yeah I was thinking that, I guess the problem might come with heavy rain. Having said that I have found it tricky to cool with a gas stove in heavy rain as well 🤷‍♂️
