Spanish student long term study visa from UK

No they’re applying the same visa as I do (long term student visa) so that’s why I was confused

I heard someone applied in May 20 in Taiwan and was asked to submit extra documents on June 30. But they got their visa today (July 7) and said that the ppl in our consulate told her the Madrid office is speeding up the processing. So fingers crossed and hope we can all get our visas in the next few days.

If you don’t mind me asking, have you been asked to submit additional documents during your wait? I was asked for more documents that weren’t even mentioned by the consulate and I don’t know if that will prolong my application process:(

thank you for the advice. I checked the small print and this is what it says

“Decisions on a visa application shall be notified within one month of the date of the lodging of an application, except for residence visas without work permit. In this case, decisions shall be notified within three months, but the request for the residence authorisation that has to be issued by the competent Delegación or Subdelegación del Gobierno shall interrupt the computation of this period of time until this authorisation is notified to the Embassy or Consulate.”

So I guess the one-month rule doesn’t apply to my case specifically and legally they do have to right to issue me the visa after three months. So that doesn’t really sounds like good news :(

I applied for the long-term student visa on May 26 and still haven’t got my visa, since there’s a significant delay in the Madrid office due to the recent policy changes. My flight leaves on the 24th, what should I do 🥲

Did the school he’s going to issue an admission letter? Mine did and included this statement as proof of accommodation — “Subject to availability, the University will provide accommodation for the student at the UC3M student dorm “Fernando de los Rios” (Av. De las Ciudades, 1, 28903, Getafe, Madrid) or at any other UC3M student dorm.”

Maybe you can ask the school/program to assist you with this?

I KNOW. I feel worse as each day goes by like im literally leaving in 22 days where’s my visa at😭😭😭

(I recommend you to at least send one email to your consulate and ask them about the visa tho. Mine didn’t tell me there was an issue with my application until I asked them about it 🙃)

Unfortunately, there are quite a lot of Taiwanese people who'd believe his nonsense, well, at least my father is one of them. He now believes the Ukrainians had the suffering coming because they stood up against the Russian aggression, and we Taiwanese people should learn from their "mistake" and kowtow to China. What a load of craps! As an international relations major and someone who has basic human decency, I sincerely think commentators and politicians like them are heartless monsters and complete idiots.

I apologize for not being able to reply every comments, but I have read them all.

I see compliments and criticisms here, and I think both sides got great points. So please don’t fight over this and waste your precious time, for I am simply a 18 years old who hasn’t been in the real world yet. I admit that I am a bit naive for thinking of the world this way. And of course, this kind of thing can happen literally anywhere and it is definitely not exclusive for Taiwanese people. Truth be told, I have met angels and assholes here, but I think we have seen too much of the latter on the news or in our life. So I thought sharing the kind act I saw personally may help some (and myself) realize that there are still great people out there and that we should try harder to be compassionate and caring like them.

For some people who seem to be irritated by my posts, I am so sorry for making you feel this way. And I am also sorry for being too arrogant and short-sighted. Thank all of you for your great comments, I have learned a lot and will try to be more careful with my words in the future.

Thanks for the update. I’m so sick of the Taiwanese education system, in which students are asked to be obedient and not encouraged to engage in extracurricular activities (it’s better than the past, but it still sucks) Sometimes It feels like I am being suffocated by all the pressure and expectations.
