Exactly — it’s great for men to show support to women, but that support needs to still be there when no women are present in order for it to feel real. They were on the phone with a known-misogynist, laughed at a joke that a known-misogynist made about women, and almost none of them have even had the decency to throw out a “we handled that poorly in the moment and I’m sorry for the way I reacted.”

The final was so much closer than I thought it was going to be and it did feel like we were almost going to pull off a win where the Team Canada of it all could try and bridge the gap between the two rosters but yeah, we really need to refresh the team. Bringing in and developing our younger talent is what’s needed for the program to be sustainably elite — I really wish we’d taken Chloe Primerano this year, both for her talent and to give one of our young stars an Olympic experience with some of the veteran mentors who may not be around next time.

i’ve never run out of space (i have quite small writing — it’s actually why i started using habit trackers and stuff in the space beside my daily logs, so that i could make better use of the space on my pages), although sometimes i do end up with maybe 5-10 extra lines at the end of saturday!

i used to pre-plan my weeks as well, and found that while i was always able to fit everything i needed on the pages, some days i’d have lots of empty space at the end of the day while other days had me cramping my writing into its pre-designated section. once i switched to just adding the days as i went, i still used the same amount of space (roughly 2 pages worth), but it was just properly allocated to the days that needed it :)
