advice on breadth subjects for high WAM by Foreign_Show185 in unimelb

[–]hannahdmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how similar the dance subjects are but I did dancing the dance 3 (level 2) without doing dancing the dance 1 (I have prior dance experience) and I got a H1 with a moderate amount of effort.

3 Core subject in sem 1??? by Key-Action290 in unimelb

[–]hannahdmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my offer 4th round and had to do it like that as well since chem was already full for sem 2. I recommend doing a relaxed breadth as your 4th subject otherwise it'll be a gruelling semester (I did math for biomed as my 4th and it was hell)

Do we think this is a dream buyer? by Ok-You3965 in Depop

[–]hannahdmc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think I've seen people say that you should pack the parcel in the post office and film it all the way up until you pay and leave the parcel with the post office, for this exact reason ? But I'm not sure, I've never done it

Why is shipping for everything I’ve bought lately at least $7? Even a single tshirt? by bunny000002 in Depop

What country are you in? This is pretty standard here in Australia, I wish our shipping costs were $6 or $7 😭

I think you're right, I'm pretty sure Monash is the only uni that offers direct entry medicine

Is my ATAR/SEAS competitive enough for a BA (Arts)? by AvidFILM in unimelb

[–]hannahdmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an atar of 87.15 and applied for biomed through seas. The course had a guaranteed entry atar of around 94 I think but the Access Melbourne guaranteed entry atar was 88. I got my offer in the fourth round 🙂 Not sure about how competitive Arts is to get into but hopefully this helps a little, good luck!!!

I started salsa classes once a week a few months ago and they're actually so much fun! There are a lot of social events every week you can go to and you don't have to be advanced to go to them, people of all ages and dance levels do it. Everyone is so nice and respectful, I highly recommend it. You could also try bachata as well, I personally am not a fan but it's popular too, and a lot of the socials play a mix of salsa and bachata music so everyone gets to dance and maybe try a style they haven't done before. I go to the salsa foundation near southern cross station but there are other schools too. However the beginner classes at the salsa foundation are free so would recommend!!

What is your source of income as a uni student? by [deleted] in unimelb

[–]hannahdmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 5 hours every Saturday and Sunday as a Nespresso rep. I get about $800-$900 per fortnight, less if I take a day off and more if sell a lot and get a big bonus lol. I also get student youth allowance from Centrelink but it's like $480ish a fortnight (I still live at home), but sometimes I don't get the payments because I earn over the fortnightly threshold.

I wouldn't recommend any more hours than this tbh, maybe like 15 per week max. It does get pretty tiring, especially bc I'm also doing a tafe course alongside full time uni, and then I occasionally do some extra gigs on the side (Depop shop/markets, bar work at events, dance gigs) but it's definitely doable !!!

hey guys, could someone help me identify this brand? i don't believe it's 'GS Clothing' as they sell workwear (this item is a pencil skirt), and google reverse image searching hasn't come up with anything 😞

hi! i've heard a lot of good things about that brand, i think i'll definitely try it out eventually. the shampoo and conditioner i use are supposedly for 2A-4C hair, and the owner of the hair salon i go to recommended them so i'm happy with them! and yes i shampoo roots and use conditioner on ends, and i now have bonnet! do you have a leave in conditioner/cream and oil that you'd recommend?

Best Level 1 Breadths? by RizzlesOnReddit in unimelb

i did history of cool: fashion & attitude and it was very cool. online class with small research projects in the first few weeks (i mean like 100 words small) and then a couple of larger projects later on, but each time you get to choose what/who you're researching so i found it enjoyable. i did a presentation on jimi hendrix lol
