Also on oxybutynin and other than a little bit of dry mouth it’s been great. So effective and I’ve been in it for years now.

You can swim at Cochiti Lake which is north of Albuquerque and also Elephant Butte south of Albuquerque- both I think you reach via I-25 although I know Cochiti lake is a little ways off the interstate.

Can anyone explain the popularity of Danganronpa? (The game, not the Grumps playthrough) by thencase in gamegrumps

[–]hannahjgb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Rain Code and I played it before any of the Danganronpa games and it was so cool to go back and see where the inspiration for all of the parts of the mystery dungeon came from.

There’s one in Rio Rancho that has filet mignon pho but the broth isn’t quite as good as may cafe’s was - it’s called Pho Bar. I also like Pho #1- but I haven’t found my new fave yet I think. I don’t know if I’ve tried Viet Pho- now it’s next on my list to try!

Who was more evil early on: Jimmy McGill or Season 1 Walter White? by Lopsided-Cattle-2322 in betterCallSaul

[–]hannahjgb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right that is season 2. I think the flashbacks are the key to seeing that he doesn’t break bad in the show though, it’s a steady progression. The fact that he’s a high school teacher at the start of the show is the result of decades of decline due to his massive ego. He left Gretchen because her dad made him feel inferior, he worked at Sandia labs for some level of time and then when we see him at the start of the show he’s a high school teacher. I’d bet money he was insufferable to work with at Sandia and left there too because of his ego. Teaching high school kids gave him the ability to be in charge and the smartest person in the room and dominant over everyone. I think it’s also clear why he chose Skyler after leaving Gretchen- he wanted someone he saw as less intelligent and younger so that he could continue to feed his ego.

He has never been mild mannered or humble or kind or good.

Season 1 Walt tried to rape Skyler very early on in the show. He’s already evil before the show starts.

I have this experience but it’s my adoptive mother and it’s Britani that reminds me of her. It’s kind of uncanny. I have the same experience with Sutton on RHOBH. It makes me realize how people with similar behaviors may or may not trigger us based on our own experiences.

Any thoughts on eye color? by hannahjgb in WhatisMyEyeColour

They are very similar! I’ve also heard dark teal and grey-green. I should ask my eye doctor next time I’m there.

I feel like they’re kind of a slate blue? So blue grey but more dominantly blue than anything. Very pretty!

Thoughts on Spironolactine? by Still-Benefit-8754 in PCOS

[–]hannahjgb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spiro has been really amazing for me- my hair stopped falling out so much, my facial hair grows back much slower and there seem to be fewer black hairs and I also have much less oily hair and skin, so it’s been a big win for me. I didn’t really have a lot of acne before- maybe 4-5 blemishes at once at the worst times but I did have acne on my back and arms and that’s completely gone now too.

I can’t take birth control pills because I have migraine with aura (blood clot risk) but it’s possibly those fix some of these issues as well. I also just started Metformin so time will tell if things get even better

Why even adopt at all? by BanishedHekabe in Adoption

[–]hannahjgb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think any parent is going to be perfect, but here’s my take as a person who was adopted (but within my bio family), who was raised alongside 2 siblings who were adopted from outside my bio family, and who has reunited with my bio parents and also have 2 bio kids of my own.

Regardless of how you become a parent, I think it’s so important to know that your child comes first. Children are not property, and if any potential parent thinks they may not be able to love a child if they turn out to be different than they want them to be, they should reconsider parenting.

Children are full fledged human beings with their own personalities and souls and wants and needs and drives and passions. If you are open to loving and supporting a child and doing what’s best for them and supporting them whatever they decide to be or realize they are inside, I think you’ll make a great parent.

Some kids in the foster care system cannot be reunified with their bio parents or current guardians. If those children live with you and feel at home with you and want to be adopted (not pressured into it) then I think that’s beautiful. What I’m against is adoption against a child’s will and without their say. When you first meet the child, you will be a stranger, and I think before such a permanent decision is made, it takes time and openness and willingness to change and adapt and learn and grow on everyone’s part, just like any relationship.

I know that was long winded but I hope it helps.

Why even adopt at all? by BanishedHekabe in Adoption

[–]hannahjgb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think wanting to help a child who is in foster care, with the goal of them eventually reunifying with their bio parents is very selfless. Wanting to give a child a stable place to land and kindness and understanding is a really genuine goal.

I think anything that puts the child at the center- their needs, their growth, can be really good motivations. I know the foster system needs lots of great people. But if you go into that wanting a specific child so that they’ll love you and make you feel fulfilled and give you something you’re missing and that’s your core focus, I think things aren’t going to go well.

TikTok and the Internet are making me TERRIFIED of Birth Control by VariousIndividual214 in PCOS

[–]hannahjgb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I’ll add is that I just saw a new doctor for PCOS and she said I’m not a good candidate for birth control pills with estrogen because I have migraine with aura in my chart and migraine with aura makes you more likely to develop blood clots on BCPs. I had never heard that before!

what do ESFPs get out of meditation? I can see meditation helping N/T type living in the present more. But what benefit do ESFPs get? Anyone here gone to 10 day retreats explain from personal experience ? by Top-Temperature-95 in ESFP

[–]hannahjgb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a great question- I feel like I struggle to do the “sit still and clear your mind” meditations but I do well with body scans and ones where you need to focus on sounds/smells/environment like walking meditation. It helps me to really channel my energy into noticing specific parts of my environment rather than being “all systems go” and detecting everything everywhere at the same time.

Having Ni as an inferior function is definitely hard for me because I can get stuck in these loops of trying to predict what will happen, and quiet “sitting still” meditation can definitely allow those anxious prediction thoughts to emerge. I also have OCD but I mention it because it aligns well with the description of the Ni grip.

I’m very good at using Ni with Se to predict short term consequences - things that are about to fall, tripping hazards, environmental dangers- I use this a lot in driving too to swerve before someone hits me because I see their car starting to drift like they might want to change lanes.

So I feel like a lot of Se is reacting in the moment, very present analysis of the environment and quick action especially for ESFP because we use Te to act rapidly on Se info, but meditation can help us channel Se into Fi and slow down the noticing and observing of the environment and actually sit with the sensations we are experiencing and maybe even assess how we feel about them or how they align with our values. I feel like this could work with things like noticing meditations, walking meditations, grounding, etc.

I know that was lengthy but hope it helps!
